Seamless rental car experience with Jeremy and Donald! My parents had a nightmare experience with the Enterprise Location near Palm Springs Airport so I rebooked them with this location and both gentleman provided fabulous service and followed through on what they promised. We arrived at pickup time and their car was perfect, clean, and ready. Check-in took just a few minutes and they were on their way not to mention at 1/3 the price of the previous rental. I would highly recommend using this location for your rental car needs in the Coachella Valley!

I was pleasantly surprised with this location. I usually try to avoid Hertz locations inside of hotels because the service is usually subpar, but from my first phone call with Jeremy it was evident this location is taking care of people. It was tricky finding a vehicle that could seat 6 with a car seat comfortably and in a few days time. I've been renting from Hertz for 13 years now and the Palm Desert location has quickly become one of my go to locations.

Regarding the negative reviews, I want to give a tip that has helped me immensely when reserving a car with Hertz: Book the vehicle at least two days before you need it. Call ahead a few days before as well. That way you give them time to order vehicles from other locations to arrive in time if they are running low. Also -- People decide last minute to not return vehicles on time and that shouldn't be blamed on the location.

I made a reservation for November 7th. I tried to call once I realized plane was late, and was on hold for a long time. I trusted my car would be there when I arrived. Manager said, he cancelled my reservation, and charged me, AND THAT HE DID NOT HAVE ANY CARS TO GIVE OUT ALL DAY. I wanted a car, he did not have one. Then I was charged $42. for a cancellation fee when they have no car to give me. Luckily my friends were waiting for me in the car as I would have been stranded.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! We had completed everything online with plans to pick up at the hotel at 1030 for transport to LAX for a 3pm flight. We got to the hotel and had to wait 45 min before someone even came to the desk. There was ONLY ONE PERSON helping customers! We left plenty of time for travel and traffic but this slow sub standard service made us late to the airport. No customer service. HORRIBLE

I’m deeply disappointed with my recent experience at the Hertz location in the JW Marriott Palm Desert. I had made a reservation in advance and received a confirmation email, so I was shocked to arrive and be told there were no cars available. The staff mentioned they usually call customers in these situations but didn’t get around to it this time.

What really stood out was the complete lack of empathy. The staff didn’t seem to care about the inconvenience this caused. To make matters worse, they told me they had three cars on-site but were holding them for customers with later reservations. It was hard to understand why my reservation, which was confirmed, wasn’t prioritized.

This experience was incredibly frustrating, and I hope Hertz takes steps to improve their customer service at this location. I expected better, especially at a place like the JW Marriott.

My brother flew in from the South Pacific and we picked up a car at the Hertz outlet at the Marriott. It was a very good experience. Everything worked out and it was cheaper than the airport.

This is the worst Car Rental company. They never answer the phone and the service from the attendant was awful inside a luxury hotel. He never walked the car with me most likely because temps outside were 115. Sadly, I turned in the car a week ago and went back in personally the day after to ask for my receipt and he said they publish automatically after closing out. that day. I still have yet to receive a receipt for my charges. Stay away from this company and rent with someone else.
