I have been renting catamarans from West Coast Multihulls for many years now, primarily for my annual birthday celebration in February. Each year, we set sail out of the beautiful San Diego Bay for a whale-watching adventure, making unforgettable memories with friends. This tradition has become a highlight of my year, thanks in large part to the exceptional service and fleet provided by West Coast Multihulls. Their team is not just excellent; they go above and beyond to ensure each trip is special, whether it's for a personal celebration or a corporate event. The catamarans are always in pristine condition, and their knowledge of the area adds so much to our experience. I highly recommend West Coast Multihulls to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or just wanting a unique way to experience San Diego Bay. They truly cater to all kinds of events, making each one a memorable experience.

We completed the Catalina Island Complete Sailing Course - ASA 101, 103, 104, & 114 and this was--by far--the best training we have ever received. The instructor, Captain Andy shared his expert sailing knowledge and piloting skills over the course of the week. We put his teachings into action as we just completed a bareboat charter in BVI and I can say going in we were confident in our abilities and we enjoyed a stress-free week on the water thanks to Capt. Andy and West Coast Multihulls!

West Coast Multihulls is a very professional organization. I have just completed ASA 101, 103, 104, and 114 over the course of 1 week including 5 days on one of their catamarans up the coast to Catalina and back. Kudos to my instructors Ed (101), and Lance (103, 104, 114). They both are very talented, knowledgeable, and experienced sailors who know their craft and are well able to impart their knowledge to new sailors with confidence. Gunievere runs the office and has been great in keeping me informed over email and has answered all my inquiries in a timely fashion.
One thing that really stood out to me was the fact that there were no hidden charges - that should be a small thing but I've had some pretty bad experiences elsewhere. All in all a first rate operation using excellent quality newer boats for training / charters.
If you fly into San Diego (SAN) there is a Sheraton hotel over the road from the airport, about a 7 minute walk, and from there, the West Coast Multihulls office is about a 5 minute walk. If you are doing the Catamaran course (ASA 114) you will be able to stay on the boat the night prior to your departure which is nice. Southwest airline seems to have flights landing every few minutes...
Highly recommended!

It's rare that the experience you hope for, the little fantasy you have playing in your head prior to an event, is actually surpassed by the event itself. That is what West Coast Multihulls delivered for me. From the warm greeting by Guinevere, to the experience and laid-back, yet professional attitudes and instruction of both Captain Eddie, and Captain Lance, I could not have asked for more. I took ASA courses 101, 103, 104, and 114 over 7 days and although it is a large amount of information and hands-on instruction to get through in one week, they did a tremendous job. Both the couple I took the class with and I tried to find some sort of constructive criticism to give to Guinevere at the end of the course and the only thing we could come up with was: More Wind! 🙂 Seriously, I can not recommend West Coast Multihulls enough, the people are genuine and caring, the instruction is first class, and the experience is beyond amazing. Stop reading this and go make a reservation!

Had a great week long charter out of Loreto. The boat was in good condition and everything worked well. Noel one of the base managers was great to work with. Will use again

My family and I recently bare boat charted the Vada Louine a Bali 4.5 out of the Loreto, West Coast Multihulls base. I can't say enough about the base here. Lets start with the charter process. Guinevere and Eddie were grewat at getting us information and answering all of our questions and giving great suggestions for us as we planned. The process was staright forward and esay to book. Once we arrived in Loreto it just got better. The marina at Peurto Escondido is PRISTINE! As a perdson who has spent a siginificant amount of time boating aropund the US and the world I can honestkly say this is the nicest marina I have ever seen. No derelict boats covered in bird poop here! Eddie was great allowing me to come a little early to start the boat/captain brief before the rest of my crew came. He went over everything really well about the the boat and answered all my questions. The Vada Louine is in great shape and is obviously well maintained. We had a great time sailing and had only one hissup the entire time. The water maker had an issue on day 3 (honestly if you boat long enough you expect and overcome a few issues) and Eddie was AMAZING. He texted back and forth trying to help my diagnose the issue via the provided in-reach and when it didn't work he drove his own boat out to meet us and fixed it while we were still out on the water. It ended up being a simple fix and we continued on our way not even having to really alter any of our sail plans. He even took our trash to save us some room. I can't say enough about the positive experience we had with West Coast Multihulls and our time in Loreto. I highly recommend them.

Definitely ask for Ryan craft to be your captain, he made the trip super informative but also fun and it was truly a great time from start to finish we were prepared for anything at the end of the class and look forward to continuing our education with him. 101 103 104 and 114 with him so far and it was epic .
Strongly recommend Ryan and this company

Had a very unfortunate experience with kurt jerman, one of Denison’s brokers. He was incredibly forgetful and misrepresented his service and our boat. His communication (or lack thereof) was the most frustrating I have ever seen in a broker. We were able to get a sale but it was a huge headache. When I reached out to Bob from Denison, to provide some feedback regarding this experience, I never received a response. Very sad from such a well respected company
