Bought a 2003 Sea Hunt 232 Triton from these guys. Boat was on consignment. Boat was listed on Facebook marketplace. Advertised as 800hrs. We came to an agreement on price. Shipped the boat 2,500 miles to San Diego. Boat gets here, first thing we do is turn it on and make sure everything works. Hour gauge on the Yamaha Digital gauge says 1,445 hours. OUCH. Owner of this shop says its probably because an ECM was swapped out, I don't buy it. The gauges are true to the boats engine and they don't lie. A bunch of other stuff was wrong with the boat that he didn't tell us about and he swore 'everything works'. Trim seals on the outboard are leaking, batteries are old and dead, lights don't work throughout, transducers on both GPS units don't work, etc. If you're going to sell a boat for someone on their behalf, make sure it is what you say it is.

I have had my boat stored at Suncoast for over a year now without any issues, they have excellent security and it’s a great location close to the water. I recently had my boat detailed by their professionals and they did an excellent job restoring my boat back to its original luster, they compounded and waxed the entire boat and it looks absolutely amazing. Thanks to the owner Jim and his crew for such an exceptional job. I would definitely recommend this business ?

They sell your boat for a low commission. Very honest, veteran owned. I had a title issue and the buyer wanted to do something illegal. The owner warned me up front. Don't do that.

I reluctantly update this review. I've had good experiences here before. A few months ago I brought my boat in for a competent checkout after another shop failed to accomplish it, as requested. I requested the steering cable be replaced among other items to be checked. They said no replacement needed and they had thoroughly inspected and lubed it... "good to go!" I did not use it for a while. When I tried the steering was still frozen-up. I was now told the steering cable was bad and required replacement!! What? I just paid them $300 for that to be corrected! Now, another 500 bucks to redo the job I asked for to start with. Also, I'm told the battery is shot (I had asked they charge it). I went straight to advance auto where they cheerfully checked the battery. It wouldn't check due to lack of charge. SO, they charged it overnight FREE, and ran the tests. Checks out as good.

So, the previous situation was very unsatisfying, indeed.

I'm sad to say I have had poor experiences with multiple boat and trailer shops in Panama City and the beach. Service used to be thorough, courteous and competent as well as reasonably priced.

I bought a boat that they said was in perfect condition. He said he has done all the maintenance. Well, blown head gasget. They they tried to steal my new battery telling me it was bad. I bought it new 3 days prior. Stay way from this scammer

My husband took his boat to Suncoast for repainting the faded blue on both sides. After several months we got a call saying it was ready. Unfortunately he paid them before seeing the results as we live in another state and couldn’t pick up for a month. When he went to pick up boat he found it had only been waxed and that badly. He was told by owner it had been painted but had already faded after 3 months?!? We had issues with overspray on motors and they couldn’t fix it. He said we were in line with another company. That was 6 weeks ago. Still waiting. We are out over $2500.00.

They do the right thing. Will be honest and answer any question. And will go over and beyond others. That's a feeling you don't get just anywhere. Not only am I happy with the deal I got, they have helped out when no monetary gain was in sight for them. Can't beat that.
