Cathouse Marine has a quality service department. Jason inspected my boat throughly and made recommendations on how to repair and service my engine and out drive. He explained each issue and the need for service. I highly recommend his expertise and the team at Cathouse Marine. Their prices are also very reasonable.

Bought a Yamaha outboard from Cathouse Marine. I had a great experience in the beginning w/ Steve/Dee but the outboard was damaged in transportation back in February 2021. I was told that everything would be resolved. Sadly the owner became ill and I backed off. I’m sorry for their loss, but several months later I still have a damaged motor w/ no resolution from the transporter or seller. ?‍♂️ Seasonal boating & half way through summer and haven’t used it. Disappointing to say the least, hope they do the right thing.

8/11/21 I wanted to change my review, because Dee came through and took care of what was promised. I know they were going through some family struggles but glad they kept their word. All the best

They always take great care of us and our "Happy Bus!!" Awesome RV and Boat storage area. Steve and Dee Dee and their son, are the nicest folks to work with. I'm so sorry I don't remember his name. He is the first one we met on a cold and rainy day.

I dropped my boat off on a Wednesday with no prior notice. They told me they were slammed and probably wouldn’t be able to get to it that week but would work me in when they could. They called me Friday to tell me they had figured out the problem (trim motor) and that they could have the part in by Wednesday. On Monday they called to say it was fixed and ready to go. If that’s not exceptional service I don’t know what is! Thanks for the great experience and you’ll definitely be getting my business in the future!

I have a 1998 Mercruiser MAG 350 MPI that would not go over 1200 RPM. Due to the age of the boat, I couldn’t find a marina that would work on it. After many calls and searching the internet, I came across Cathouse Maine. Jason McDarmont (shop manager) was the lead on getting my boat back up and running. Due to the age of the boat, there is very limited technical information available through any source, however, Jason relentlessly persevered to find and repair the problem(s). Jason communicated with me on a regular basis to keep me updated. 5-star rating is not high enough for my experience with Cathouse Marine, it should be a 10-star review!!! Again, a sincere thankyou to Jason McDarmont and all the wonderful people at Cathouse.

My husband and brother dropped their fishing boat off 4 weeks ago. They were told they were backed up and would not be able to begin work on it the week they dropped It off. They said that was fine and understood. However, It has now been 4 full weeks, starting on 5 weeks this Monday. The woman who is running the desk and answering the phone was repeatedly rude to them when they were calling each week for an update. She also never gave her name as a point of contact, hence why I am saying "the woman answering the phone". We understand that businesses can get backed up but to go one whole month without any estimation timeframe of when they will begin work is unacceptable. We did not mind waiting, we just wanted some form of expected time frame. Finally, today we called and said we would just pick the boat up since they have yet to begin any work and my husband/brother have not been able to fish since September 1st. When we asked "the woman" if they would put the boat up front so we could easily pick It up. She replied, "there are no techs working on Saturday and you can just pull in and find it." We are honest people and would never touch another person's boat, however just want you all to know that they just let people in and roam around the lot where other boats are kept. Would not recommend this place of business.

Brought my 2002 boat in with a 40 HP Mariner. (Nothing fancy at all). The boat would plane off but lose power almost immediately. They replaced power pack with a used one they robbed from another motor and said it was fixed. I was skeptical because I had just replaced the power packs a month before. Put it in the water and still doing the same thing. Took it back to them. After it sat there for 3 weeks I called and could not get an answer. Drove by there and a sign on the door saying "closed due to covid will reopen on said date". The day it reopened, I called and they said they were working on it and would call back. After not hearing from them for 2 more weeks I called and the lady said they just didn't have a mechanic with enough experience to work on it. Needless to say, after holding my boat for almost 2 months and never calling to even give me an update. I finally had to get my boat and take it elsewhere. I heard good things about the owner in the past but when he became sick the place went to hell. Not to mention, I filled my gas tank up before bringing it in and it was completely empty when I got it back home. I didn't even bother calling and telling them. Just glad the nightmare is over
