I rented from RentSubaru in July 2024.
Everything went smooth, no problems whatsoever.
Communication was clear, I received an estimate by email and charged me as agreed.
Vehicle was 2024 Subaru outback with just over 2000 miles.

There is one area of improvement:
Considering that the price is high, it would be a nice gesture if RentSubaru would give you a ride from and to the airport.

One last thing: make sure that Uber shows the correct address. It took me to their old address; 3815 Spenard Rd

Wow! Just WOW! I very rarely take time to review a business unless they blow my socks off. Greg and his team at Rentasubaru did just that when I rented from them while on vacation and needing a vehicle to drive the unpaved and treacherous road from Anchorage to McCarthy, Alaska in in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. We had contracted with a van service for transportation but at the last minute the van service failed to materialize. Our only option was to drive ourselves to stay on schedule, which we were totally unprepared to do. We found Rentasubaru as a source for a rental vehicle that could be driven on Alaska's gravel roads. I connected with Gregg, the manager, who went far out of his way to educate us about the challenge, provide a suitable vehicle, and even put an extra spare tire in the back. When we picked up the vehicle we found the entire team to share Gregg's passion for customer service.

I have rented dozens of vehicles. Never have I been treated with such outstanding customer service. We felt more like family than a customer. Rentasubaru, Gregg, and his team are the standard by which all customer service should be measured. They turned a calamity into a positive experience. Best of all, we didn't need even one spare tire!?

Awesome service! We have rented a Subaru for 10 days when we visit Alaska. The car was spacious, and in very good shape. The company got our hearts with fast check in and check out services. If you rent outside of working ours, they do rental contract by electronic sign. You do not have to see any rental agent, but get your car from 24-hour working parking place. I hope this kind of small scale family (not sure this was a family business though) companies would be everywhere because they do really care about their service more than big names that you hear outside. I didn’t not have chance to meet them in person since I rented outside of business hours. That’s why I wanted to put this comment here as a thanks message for them. Greg was an amazing helper on the phone for all of my unrelated questions! Ps: They let you drive on unpaved roads which is a great advantage if you’re looking for an adventure in Alaska! Ps2: You can fit a full size mattress in this car if you recline the back seats.

We were very pleased with Rent A Subaru. Our reservation had to be redone several times because of two cancellations of our inbound flight to Anchorage and a new very early departing flight. They accomodated this well and we used an electronic signature process to sign the final contract. Because of our unexpected off-hour flight arrival and departure, we didn't go to the Rent A Subaru office. It has a very nice arrangement with Alaska Park, an 24/7 airport parking service, to shuttle clients between the Anchorage airport and their rental cars at Alaska Park. It worked well.

Our rental Subaru Outback was not brand new, but it was immaculate and operated perfectly. It certainly was of advantage to be able to take the vehicle on unpaved but graded roads, such as the one to scenic Hatcher Pass. From my research, most or all of the national car rental companies don't allow this.

We rented from here in January and it was such an excellent experience! Our flight was delayed so we arrived to pickup the rental a day later than planned. As such, they were out of Subaru Outbacks; however, they were still able to provide us with a similar option that was great. They let us do after hours drop off with no problem. All in all, the whole process was seamless and very convenient. Highly recommend! We will definitely choose Rent a Subaru the next time we go to Anchorage. The best customer service!!

We rented a car from RentaSubaru in February of 2018 and had an all-around awesome experience. They are great, reasonable, kind, and don't try to up-sell you. I provided my driver's insurance info and they were able to easily see that I had adequate insurance, so all we paid was the cost of renting the vehicle for a week. The vehicle was clean, didn't smell, and worked well, and the return experience was a snap. We live in Juneau, travel to Anchorage often, and will definitely rent from RentaSubaru again.
