You clearly don’t want to price match! Never bitten on price statement on your website is simply not true. In fact your staff are looking for ways not honour your own statements. ‘Never Beaten On Price’ statement it’s just not true - based on my own experience today!!
I was in your store today (16/09/24 in the morning) to buy a battery. The product is the Yuassa YBX 5063. Halfords call it HSB 063 - Is this a tactic so that you don’t match the price

Same colour, the same performance, the same size. Your staff are not willing to match the price of a competitor. Having looked at the Yuassa website Uk, they offer two batteries for my car 3063 or 5063. I doubt Yuassa have designed a prototype especially for Halfords. Maybe the sticker layout is different but the product and the value of it is the same. When 3-4 online retailers have prices ranging from £55 to 65 for the said battery, that is retail value of that product, not £95 at Halfords. I understand you have your price, and that’s perfectly fine, if there weren’t any cheaper businesses offering the same for less.

So I bought the same product from your competitor across the road from your store, 40% cheaper than your price. They were happy to PRICE MATCH without any fuss.

My experience with your Winterstoke Bristol branch was not a positive one and a complete waste of my time!
Also the Customer Service Advisor on the counter needs a bit more product training, before he makes a statement such us ‘our batteries are made specific to Halford’s - erm no they are not Sir.
Halfords listen to your customers, and be honest.
You either price match or you don’t.

Booked online to have a windscreen chip repaired for £40. Shaun who repaired it at Winterstoke Road branch did an amazing job.

Booked a car battery replacement.
Arrived early, but was attended to immediately by Nathan who would be doing the fitting. Nathan is a very competent mechanic who while I was in attendance politely explained all the steps in the replacement process. On completion he also completed the ford battery management update.
I was so impressed with Nathan's attitude, skill and superb customer service I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this Halfords branch to friends and family.

Bought the wrong number plate bolts/screws. One of the workers was able to replace the screws and re-attach my number plate with no added fee. Very kind staff. Thankyou Halfords for your help
