I love this location for rentals. They are fast, professional, friendly and the cars are always very clean. You don’t find this at the neighborhood locations or even other airports!

In regards to ticket number: 1105927. Since you want to reply from emails that can't be responded to, I'm just going to put you on blast.

Your customer service is trash. You constantly find which way to avoid dealing with customer concerns while nickel and diming said customers to the extreme. From telephone systems that will NOT route you to the branch, to email responses from bots that come from unanswerable email addresses, Enterprise lacks customer service while practically begging you to say they have good service. It's kind of mind blowing actually.

I do not recommend Enterprise and their affiliates if you are traveling to an area with tolls. The toll pass is stupid expensive, and the charges you'll incur without the toll pass cannot be paid by you directly. They'll be routed through National, who will add a 300 - 1000 percent markup before they bill you.

Rented a car on 1/16/24 to drive to Atlanta airport after two days of flight cancellations in Birmingham. Traveling alone with my 7 year old. Chose the cheapest option because only needed for a few hours, was given an EV. Went back to the desk and said I had never driven an EV before and was not comfortable taking for a long drive. Desk agent assured me “it was fully charged”, it was “exactly like driving any other car I’d driven” AND the clincher, “if the charge runs out it will switch to gas”. AKA telling me it’s a hybrid car when it was not. Long story short, this put my family in an incredibly dangerous situation. Not only was the car NOT fully charged for the drive they knew I was about to make, but it was also NOT a hybrid! Ran out of charge on my overnight drive somewhere between the two airports in 12 degree weather. Had to call the police to respond for assistance, as we had no blankets or extra food or water. Then had to wait two hours in the cold while the vehicle charged. Finally made it to the airport by 330 AM. This experience was truly a nightmare and I’m lucky there was no serious consequences to me or my son as a result of the incompetence and indifference of your staff. Zero stars.

Updating 1/22/24 - have placed two calls to corporate per the response, have also sent two emails. Have received responses to none of my contact attempts.

I'm still living the nightmare that is renting and returning a vehicle with National Car Rental at BHM. Dropped my rental off at 6:40 PM last week Thursday (Mar 28), needed to track down the employee at return to get a confirmation they would send me my invoice via email.
Once I landed at my layover, my rental contract was still open, but of course there was no customer service available.
Since then, I've talked to countless representatives and "escalation team members" but my rental agreement "cannot be closed by anyone but the location", and nobody, even within National can actually reach the location.
I'm a freelancer and cannot invoice until I have all reimbursable invoices, so this is holding up my invoicing and that of my contract partner to the end customer. National car rental is putting a real problem on our plates with your incompetence and lack of customer service.
