I brought in a 1971 in-line straight 6 boat that I fully restored. These guys got the motor running strong. Took the boat to the lake today and my kids had a blast. I highly recommend these guys. Best intown and very reasonable on pricing.

I called in and was looking for help getting a ECM for a boat. I was asked to provide the detailed information about the engine. I followed up with this information and made several follow up calls with voicemail and never received a reply.

* BEWARE * Long time customer that takes his stuff there and refers all his friends here, without a single issue in several years (from them performing work or on my end paying), now i went to pickup my boat as they never wanted to give me a formal estimate on engine rebuild over 12k (asked what was going to get done), its not a cheap expense to just pull the trigger, they say not wasting time putting an estimate together, just come get your boat, they got mad when i told them pull the engine out as i have a mechanic to rebuild (thats what i felt and after reading other reviews, confirm), i went to pickup, didnt ask how much was, just hand my card as i feel frustrated, they charge the card on their end and gave me a PAID IN FULL Receipt, couple weeks after while on vacation out of country they called to make me aware of THEIR fault on the processing and i told me when i get back will review it, which i did and find out it was correct, THEY did a mistake when charging my card, coincidence i got a txt the very same day saying they will sue me and i ask them to come collect payment to our shop in a money order, which we purchase since that time, and they didn't want to do it, now i have 2 cases open on the same matter with them and they are asking triple the money when they are already not doing things right, i understand charging CREDIT CARD FEE which of course i didn't include on the money order, but i did include the TAXES on LABOR which to where i understand is not correct, answer thru the court been filed, so just be aware, and i was never unpolite or raise my voice on any of the conversations over the phone (like other clients on reviews did), in person or the chain of txt messages we exchange, just attached the invoice, dated cashier check and what Porter is asking for at court, don't have anything negative on their mechanic work but on the customer service i reserve my opinion, see you in court

They do not stand behind their work. I have used them for years... The older man John always has fixed my boat properly. I got stuck with his is son Casey on the last repair about a year ago. I haven't got it to work since. I took it back once and he did not fix it but said it was okay. I myself finally found the 1 and 3 spark plug wires were swapped after 5 lake trip attempts (absolutely their fault they had just redone the heads). I finally got going and it overheated then I found oil in the lower unit. They had just put a new water pump in also. I called and asked for $100.00 off the repair (they should have done the whole job for nothing) just to make me feel better about it, and Casey told me to find another shop then hung up on me. Trust me Casey is a real WEASEL!!

I Had a boat with missing out drive, motor that was well an anchor at best. All I had in the boat was wiring. This Shop worked with me to put together a complete setup. Tested everything and have gone out of their way to accommodate my pocket book. Everyone was always nice and always straight forward with what was going on. I also got a nice roller trailer from them. I would trust this shop with any boat I have or will have.

Casey and the crew at Porter's Marine are awesome. I recently had my Volvo Penta outdrive replaced due to an accident. They worked with my insurance company and kept me informed throughout the process, which made it real easy for me. Very professional and quick service! I would highly recommend!
