Brought my aluminum Bass Boat to get a hole patched in the hull. They slapped some JB weld on it and tried to charge me hundreds of dollars. When I said something about it the owner cussed me out and talked to me like a dog! If you don’t know how to Aluminum correctly then just say so there’s no shame in that. I would never ever take my boat back to this place.

Not only did they provide excellent service repairing our boat, they loaned us a boat to use while the repairs were being taking care of! We will never take our boat anyone else. We have taken our boat to be winterized before with no problems but this last winter the winterization wasn't completed properly and the engine block cracked which required us to have a new short block installed. I suspect it is due to carelessness or negligence as winterizing is pretty uncomplicated. I barely made it a quarter of a mile across the lake this spring before the warning buzzer went off and I had to shut down the engine. Once back at the shop the techs weren't able to find the cause of the overheating. The boat was given back to me after a few weeks with no thermostat. Sure, it ran cool and masked the crack in the block for a ride or two. I took it to another shop and they found the cracked block rather quickly. I know it was a hard winter but if the winterization would have been completed properly then we would have avoided the $6000 expense for a new engine block and installation. When I communicated with The Boat Service, they took no responsibility and were quite adept at deflecting any blame.

Drive 2 plus hours to buy a boat. Had a time set up and everything. Texted and called and he said he was with a customer and he would call us back. Waited and waited and finally decided to call again and sent us to voicemail. So call the shop from another number and they answer. He said I already sold the boat. I understand making a sale but we came to buy. Wasted time and money. Not the way to do business. I wouldn't even leave one start but had to.
