The folks who work there are great.. Bailey was the one who was very personable, understanding of my situation and hooked me and my kid up with a ride home. Above all, he was honest. He and everyone there working on the ground floor are great hardworking people.
It's CORPORATE that is dishonest.
That being said, it is IMPORTANT that you CALL them first to get an ACCURATE quote from the people actually working the front desk.. because the Hertz Corporate website is INACCURATE.
I went on the website and requested a car for $24/ day... After renting this car, I found the actual cost was actually $40/ day. The folks at this location told me, the next time I had to rent a car, to CALL them first because Corporate creates the website and the website is inaccurate to what is actually going on at the location.
You may not get the car you want and you certainly won't be paying the price you think you're paying. As I did, I ended up paying MORE.
I would give the place 5 stars because of the good people who work there but because I had to pay more thanks to Corporate, I dropped it by 2 stars.

I was very pleased with my recent experience at Hertz car rental this past weekend. Dante went above and beyond! He was quick and friendly and despite being the only person there, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. I highly recommend them. Thank you for everything you did for us!

CONS:
- Lack of availability, but was able to book online
- Lack of communication
- No way to get a hold of anyone on the phone, constantly on hold or the automated system
- Employees advised they would contact us, but never did
- We were charged even though we never received a rental

My husband and I booked a car on booking.com for a car at this location. That Monday, my husband took a Lyft to Hertz. He was told the only car available was an electric car. Because we've never used one before and didn't feel comfortable with driving one, the employee advised he should have.a car later that day around noon. My husband then walked to grab lunch and wait nearby to for a call from Hertz. No call ever came. My husband then took a Lyft home to wait. By 3pm, my husband called again and the employees acted as if they had no idea what my husband was talking about and simply stated they didn't have any cars. We tried again the next day, but called first before taking another Lyft. They again stated there's no cars available. We later found out that we were charged for a car. There was no way of contacting Hertz as the automated system gave him the run around rather than being able to speak to a human being.We had to contact booking.com to fight for the payment and they made us go through hoops to prove that my husband had spoken to them and tried to obtain a car and never did. Luckily, we had the our flight information, Lyft receipts and call logs. We were eventually able to get our refund, BUT we will never rent a car from this place again.

The employees here are top-notch and treat the customers well. The cars are reliable and prices are very competitive. If you're looking for a rental car, you can't go wrong with Hertz.

I rented here through my company and had planned on doing all my rental booking through this location since it is close to me. First the service is slow, then unhelpful when i had questions. Then they gave me a car with an 1/8th tank of gas when I specifically told them I am driving to a company event immediately upon receiving the car. I didnt have time to wait for another car so I used it. Never coming back here ever again and having this location removed from my companies list of recommendations. Great job losing what would of been consistent business every week and that of anyone else in my company.

I rented a car at Bouquet Hertz because I had to leave my car at the dealer on a weekend and all the cars they have are all out so they gave me a voucher. The car I got was a Malibu from the over all appearance, it was just returned dirty and stinky. But I didn't care it's a rental. The car had barely enough gas to reached the gas station at Bouquet and Newhall. The first day I drove the car to work at Ventura the warning pop up "oil change soon" when I checked it, oil was at 0%. A few miles later another warning pop up "right rear tire low 26psi" when I checked the tires all the the tires is at 26 psi and 27psi. I called Hertz Ventura to get ot exchange voiced out my concern unsafe to drive. She replied they have no cars available and just call road side assistance!...really. American tire was nearby and I have it air put in, excellent customer service! Put air in all the tires and advised to observed it, if it's losing pressure not to drive it. I returned the car 10/5 and was charged $124.16 on 10/3. Try to call the # customer service took half a day because automated takes you round in circles. When finally got a live person, said account still open. They posted the charge prior to returning the car really?
I wouldn't recommend Hertz to anyone. They have NO attention to quality and maintenance of the cars they rent to customers. NO concern for the safety of the customers. Inconvenience to call customer service.

I had a terrible experience with this branch. I needed to change my reservation because my flight was canceled due to bad weather. I called the office to inform them and adjust my reservation, but I was immediately put on hold for over 30 minutes. I tried calling three more times, and each time, I was left waiting for over 30 minutes without any assistance. It was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. If this company doesn't respect its customers' time, especially when they are willing to be courteous, they shouldn't expect to keep their business. I ended up canceling my reservation and went to one of their regional competitors instead. I won't be using their services again.

Great service. Actually, incredible service. And I mean it! I’ve rented so many cars over the years and this is by far the best location I’ve ever been too. They made sure to bring a Tesla Model 3 long range from a different location just for me. And this is exactly why I keep coming back here! Couldn’t recommend them enough. Really appreciate you all
