Great place to get a rental car on short notice, great quality vehicles that are reliable and comfortable. Awesome customer service from Mandi and Chris. Unbeatable prices. I rented a vehicle from them for a quick back and forth trip, I just asked for the most compact and modest priced vehicle since I just needed it for a short amount of time, I asked for a GPS and they were able to get me a very nice luxury vehicle and kept the original pricing as I would have paid for a standard compact vehicle. No complaints from me, I would definitely recommend them and their services and I will definitely be using their services in the future whenever I need to rent a vehicle. Thanks Chris&Mandi!!

I had a graduation to attend up in beautiful Redlands, CA, this week!
My 20-year Hyundai Sonata (206,000 miles) wouldn't start! I heard about this hidden gem right here in El Cajon (located at the west side of Golden Corral Buffet on downtown Main St.)! There's a bus stop a block away!

I contacted them, arranged to rent a car ($35 plus an immediately-refundable deposit upon car return), and picked up a brilliant red, Mini Cooper at 8:30 am!

There is no sign, but their entrance is in the back lot! These nice folk gave me the easiest rental experience of my 75 years!
I plan to be a regular customer! Kudos!

Lucky to share a parking lot with these guys. Thier cheaper rental rates have not only saved us numerous times, they have also helped our customers countless times. You never know what an inconvenience having your car beak down is, until it happens. But with East County Rental close, we can get our customers back on the road and happy asap. East County Car Rental on Main Street is a San Diego County owned working-class business for the working-class! With a hey-day of 80s and 90s customer service, the humans employed treat each customer on phone or in person with humor, respect and honesty. You aren't a confirmation number at East County Car Rental, you are a one-on-one human customer with importance.

The car rental prices are affordable, the deposit won't break you and the company accepts Debit Cards! Yes!!!

I absolutely loved the human connection when I phoned for help and when I walked in the door. Large car rental companies should pick up East County Car Rental's playbook; well, that's if they care about their customers. It was nice to be in the public arena and talk to some great human beings.

If ya need a car rental, call up East County Car Rental. They are Awesome Vegan Sauce!

I highly recommend this place for renting a car. We flew in from Washington, D.C. and tried renting a car at the airport and it was a nightmare. I was car less in a state I was foreign in. I started googling and found this gem. I called and they had a car available same day, super affordable, and reliable car. They truly go beyond to make you comfortable. When we returned the car they ordered us a “Lyft” to the airport! I am truly grateful and beyond satisfied with their service. Customer service 100/10
