Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. The Manager Daniel could not seem to care less about helping his employees solve issues.
I had already paid for a week long rental with my banks virtual credit card number. Because it was a different number than the physical card, even though I could Apple Pay with the same number card they just are so behind the times that I am now left totally left to dry with no vehicle and $$$ tied up that I can’t access for 3-5 days leaving me in a huge bind
I cannot emphasize enough how frustrating and stressful this situation has been. Daniel once again, the manager, was the rudest most unhelpful person I’ve encountered in customer service. I don’t leave reviews almost ever. Especially bad ones. But I’ll never forget the awful experience I’ve had today at this location. Manager Daniel should at the very least be retrained but I fear the entire corporation may be incompetent.

I made a reservation for a car and canceled it because they didn't have the car I wanted. They offered for me to wait at the office for another car and I did. Was happy to made another reservation for a car which they brought for me from Watsonville. But I was surprised when saw on my bank account fee for No Show $72.79 for the first reservation that I canceled at their office. How they could charge me for No Show if I was at the office waiting for a car from Watsonville?

Important Information: The location changed from Center Street to Soquel Ave. Not all rental Websites have already updated that.
However, the Hertz Team in Santa Cruz was great. Their service exceeds what one can expect. Very friendly, helpful and considerate! Stay like this guys!
A key drop-off for returns outside the opening hours is a necessary change. Cars can only be returned between 8am to 5pm.
