After experiencing engine runaway, I luckily, and after exhausting search for a mechanic, came upon British Marine. Justin diagnosed the problem over the phone, and took my boat in immediately. Leaking injector pump seal was verified, pump summarily rebuilt, worn injector nozzles replaced, and I was on my way back to Monterey. Additionally, Justin and Brian, his dad, generously provided educational tips on the Perkins 4108, and I left the business fully appreciative of their service

Had some work done on my Perkins 4.108 years ago and also had a bottom job. They did a great work and I was very pleased. The cost was exactly as estimated, no extra anything.
Today,15 years later, I called with a technical question as I'm now on the East Coast and doing my own diesel maintenance. Same great service and advice. Can't say enough about their helpful attitude.

The best marine diesel engine and yard service in the SF Bay Area hands down. Brian and his sons are high integrity, hard working, very knowledgeable crew who will go out of their way to help you any way they can. It’s very difficult to find service like British Marine in the Bay Area any more. I wouldn’t trust anybody else in the SF Bay Area with my Perkins.
