I had an exceptional experience working with Fred Oliver, the operations manager at Avis in Birmingham. I had accidentally left a personal item in a rental car and was feeling pretty stressed about retrieving it. Fred was incredibly patient and took the time to sit down with me to figure out the best way forward. He made all the right calls, kept me updated, and went above and beyond to help me recover my item. His professionalism and dedication made a challenging situation much easier, and I’m so grateful for his assistance. Thank you, Fred!

Avis came through for me I was in a wedding in Florida and had to bring stuff for the wedding. I had a three week in advance reservation withe hertz and called them a week in advance to make sure they had the vehicle and they did not they was rude and unprofessional. Avis was the total opposite polite professional very helpful we love the car so much that on our way back from the trip we stopped and bought the car we rented

This rental car establishment at Birmingham airport is the absolute worst customer service I've experienced with any establishment! When you call for assistant, they do not want to give their name. When they don't know the answer they simply state "I don't know" and hang up!! Absolute horrible customer service! Then to top it off, they charged my credit card AFTER my final bill was settled!

The car's interior was disgusting. Staff was nearly none existent and was not aware of the cars available for rent. I had to complete Christmas shopping with a car that had broken door locks. Furthermore, when I returned the car, no one was working the car return. I took a picture of the staff outside smoking cigarettes while I waited.

National Car Rental was greeting customers as they arrived.

This is just for the Airport location in Birmingham Alabama and not a reflection of all of Avis. They rented us a car with damage. As a preferred member we just got in the car. We did not do a walk around. Our mistake but the car should it have been rented to anyone. Large dent and yellow paint

The kiosk clearly marked for Avis business was closed. And I had to wander around the area looking For where they kept their business office, considering it was not clearly marked. After obtaining the keys to the rental vehicle they just told me a number where to find it did not go out with me to show me where it would be located, didn't go out to answer any questions I might have about the vehicle, didn't do a walk around to see if the vehicle was dinged or scratched. I noticed when getting in the tank was only half full. It was in the wrong spot. And when I went to check the vehicle in the woman said her handheld machines for checking in purposes were down. RED FLAG. If you ever experience that definitely look over the receipt they gave you for erroneous charges. But the woman who checked me in was super friendly and courteous. Answered all my questions and alleviated any concerns I had.
