Don’t even bother to rent! I was trying to have a normal conversation with this person on the phone and he was talking and talking. He said I can’t rent from him, until I tell him where I’m from. If I’m flying, when is my flight. Asked me how many days I want to rent. I said one and he actually took his time to think if he wants to rent me or not. I don’t see any of these questions relevant to my question. I called to see if they have any available cars. F up place. Don’t rent!!!!!!!!

My car was wrecked, and insurance wouldnt pay for a rental yet. This place accepted my deposit in cash, and worked with me the whole time. Very understanding and easy to deal with. Prompt in replying and ease of communication. Without CA rental, I really dont know what I would have done. I highly recommend this place if you need to use cash. th prices were resonable as well! Definitely a place for the people

Great service! We arrived in Sacramento on Amtrack after all the majors closed for the day. I found California auto rental and Sam, the owner arranged to pick us up at the station, rent us a car and then met us at the station a week later to collect the car. You won't find better service than that. The car we drove was better than anything we would have gotten at the majors for the money.

I reserved a rental car through this agency for my 20 y.o. son for two months during his summer internship. "Sam" seemed helpful when reserving. He said that my son would get a Nissan Versa "or similar" and he would have to charge me more than other car rental companies due to his age. I agreed to pay over $1600 for 8 weeks rental. My son flew in to Sacramento, was driven to the rental location by Sam, then told that he was being rented a 2008 Prius. He was told that if he wanted the Nissan Versa he would have to pay $200 more because the "car was too new" being a 2012 (that's 6 years old). My son had no other option, so took the car. It was completely empty of gas so he stopped immediately to purchase gas. He drove a few miles to his residence. When he tried to start the car again to drive to the grocery store it would not start! The MAINTENANCE LIGHT came on and there were 189,168 miles on it! and it was at least 10 years old! We called Sam to discuss and Sam tried to blame the problem on my son, saying he must not know how to start a hybrid. We explained that he had driven a Prius for 3 months last summer, so that wasn't the issue. We explained that the car maintenance light came on and that it wouldn't start and that there were over 189 thousand miles on the car. Sam wouldn't hear us, and continued to state that the car was in excellent shape and the issue was not the maintenance or the miles. I'll try to attach a photo of the dashboard lights showing the maintenance light and the mileage. This guy is a scam artist and deserves to go to jail for his treatment of a young man under these circumstances.
