Extremely Disappointed with Hertz Service at this location.
I recently attempted to rent a car from Hertz and encountered a deeply frustrating and unprofessional experience.
I had a reservation for a gas-powered vehicle. However, the branch manager was incredibly rude and dismissive, claiming they had no gas cars available despite observing several parked on the lot.
While the manager was occupied elsewhere, another male employee approached me and confirmed they did have gas cars available. However, the manager then intervened, instructing the employee to leave and returning to inform me that only electric vehicles were available.
The price for the electric car was already significantly higher than my original reservation, nearly 1.5 times more. To my further dismay, the final total price was nearly double the initial estimate.
When I questioned this exorbitant increase, the manager simply suggested I try another rental company.
This entire interaction was a blatant display of unprofessionalism and, quite frankly, felt like an attempt to manipulate pricing. The manager's rude behavior and the discrepancy in available vehicles strongly suggest a lack of integrity and a disregard for customer satisfaction.
I would strongly advise potential customers to avoid this particular Hertz location and explore alternative rental options.

This was one of the worst car rental experiences I’ve ever had. I rented an economy car, and there was no indication during checkout that it would be electric. When I arrived, they told me the only option available was electric unless I paid an extra $118 on top of the $135 I had already paid to “upgrade” to a gas car. I couldn’t take an electric car all the way from Sacramento to LA, so I had no choice but to pay the additional fee.

The employee handed me the keys to the upgraded car without walking me through it or inspecting it with me. They said the tank was full and instructed me to return it full—or face a gas fee. However, the tank was just above empty when I got in.

The car itself was filthy. It hadn’t been cleaned—there was dirt all over the seats, trash in the back window from the previous renter, and a horrible musty smell that lasted for 3 days. I took time-stamped pictures before I left the lot to document the condition. Hertz strategically took their own “before” photos that conveniently omitted the dirt and trash, making it clear they’re trying to cover themselves.

Why they would rent out cars in this condition is beyond me. The whole experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. I will not be renting from Hertz again.

Avoid this company! Charged me for 2 days when I only used within 24 hours, then I find 3 added charges with no explanations by them. I called corporate and they also can’t explained the charges. At worst scammers and at best incompetence. I rent cars from other car rentals often from Las Vegas, North Dakota, and Los Angeles. Never had any issues. This Hertz is absolutely the worst.

Not a good experience. The office looked clean and the employees were welcoming but the system must be quite flawed. I reserved a car online but they didn’t have it when I arrived to pick it up. The agent at the counter seemed to think that it was ok to just say sorry and it was all done. He did not offer to immediately call other stores nearby to see if they had a car to fulfill my reservation. When asked if he would check with others he said that maybe he could get one 3-4hrs later. Then when I asked him to call them now, his coworker wrote down the phone number and passed it to me. Well, maybe this was just a bad day for them and they didn’t know how to handle it?

Let me start off by saying this particular location is nothing short of HORRIBLE! I needed to rent a vehicle the same day because I had a bad car accident in my Challenger. The representative had a little snappy attitude but I'm not the one honey so I had one back. Anyways, she said I couldn't book a vehicle same day unless I had a major credit card 🧐🧐 Since when was this policy?

I've rented from there in the past ( not this location but another one) and never had this problem. I don't know what kind of BS she's on but no I'll never book another vehicle with them EVER! Again. I don't trust it now and just no I'll stick to Enterprise where there more professional!

They didn't do a walk through in front of me checking for scratches when my cousin rented a car. But when she returned the car, they found a small scratch on it and wants to charge her insurance.

Hertz is using a public charging station for its own fleet leaving cars parked for hours after just adding a few KWh. Not only renters won’t enjoy a fully charged cars (cars were only charged up to 30%) but other EV owners can’t charge their cars. 3 out of the 4 chargers were blocked by Hertz.

They were supposed to pick me up at 12:30 PM so I could pick up the car. Three phone calls later with 30 to 40 minute hold times for each call, nobody could tell me when or if they were showing up. I finally had to take Lyft so I got my car before closing. I made it to the store at 4 PM. If I hadn't pre-paid I would have canceled. But if you cancel they keep your money. So I am not convinced they had any intentions of picking me up anyway. They get paid either way. NEVER rent here. It's awful.
