The whole team at Svendsen’s saved our Pacfic Cup race in 2022. We hit a UFO at night on route from Vancouver Island to San Fransisco Bay. We were turned away from another boat yard near by that we had made previous arrangements with as they had no time in their schedule to help us with repairs. I came to Svendsen’s on my knees and they were gracious and so helpful with excellent communication and the finished product was perfect!

Returned to Bay Marine Boatworks, now Svendsens's Bay Marine to fix two problems before we depart to cruise PNW. One was a re-do of our rudder packing that has been leaking since installed here in 2017, and the other a perplexing fuel tank problem. Contacted our Project Manager Rolfe Brittain and he promised to get his best man on the job. We arrived for our Monday appointment and Rodney shows up for the job. We discuss what's needed and he gets to work. He was thorough, careful, methodical, and one of the most knowledgeable boat guys I've ever met. He clearly explained the problem and solution, and for good measure threw in lots of great advice and some tricks I've never seen before. His work on the rudder packing was excellent and should hold up for 30 years, and he figured out in 10 minutes that our fuel tank pickup tube fell off and he fabricated a new one by attaching it to the hose fitting, a creative solution which works beautifully and saves me from replacing the fuel tank. Rodney is a friggin genius and we were done and on our way on time as promised. I didn't know what to expect with Bay Marine's merger/acquisition of Svenden's but they got Rodney in the deal and their service from my experience continues to be top notch thanks to Rolfe and his team.

Of all the possible places to get your boat hauled out, I prefer Svendsens. They have highly talented techs who choose the right way to fix whatever problem your boat has, from metal works to plumbing to electrical.

They are also pretty good about letting you do some of the work yourself.

Good experience overall. I got my twin 8.1 volvo engines service and transmission service done here as well as generator serviced. The guys did job well, my boat running much smooth now. I give them 5 star for say-do ratio.
