We come here every once in a while during the winter months to do some hiking in the trail near the parking lot. The trail itself is quite nice, fairly level and simple hike with good views. Generally is pretty empty, apart from an occasional snowmobile or cross country skier.

The sno-park itself is pretty bare bones. Not a whole lot of slopes for kids to slide down, but enough to at least play around in. The two bigger snow parks a few miles further down the road are a better bet.

The parking lot isn't big (at most can handle 15-20 cars), and requires a permit to avoid a ticket - the permit can be bought online in advance, or on premises via a QR code. However, if not printing out the pass, you will need a ranger to come provide you a receipt to put on your dash. A day pass is $15, and also covers the other two snow parks down the road.

Nice place to go sledding. Lots of trees on the way so be careful not to bump into them. Parking permit needs to be purchased online and printed before heading there.

Need to purchase permit in advance to visit. A wonderful Sno-Park for young children. Easy access to snow play and sledding. Kids have fun here. Plenty of parking. Law enforcement is active to check if vehicle is permit ready. Forest service works hard to remove snow. Big thumb up

It is a nice place to play with snow, but if you want nice slides then you might want to look for some other place. This place had a few small slides but won’t be too much fun. But if you want to just play with snow go on top of the small hill and you will find plenty of snow to play with. Be careful of a frozen lake and take a parking permit from home.

Came here on Sunday March 10 around 11am. Happy to find there was plenty of parking and lots of soft snow on a sunny day.

This was *perfect* for our 5 and 8-year-old boys. Plenty of family friendly hills to choose from with varying thrill levels. And it never got too crowded.

Make sure you buy and print out your $15 parking because Wi-Fi is spotty here. Park rangers do check at the entrance.

Spicer is a great value compared to the big resorts that charge big $$$ for you to use only their sleds/tubes while fighting crowds and getting only 2 hours of total sled time. We will be back.

Might have given this Park a 5 star; unfortunately We went a little early in the winter season and the snow wasn't that deep. We got there on Saturday morning and it had just snowed Friday night. Their was fresh snow on the ground but not much. overall a great experience for the kids. Don't forget to order and print Your Permit!
Rangers were at site asking for them to enter the park.

It is a parking lot. You can go up and walk but not really good for kids to slide. Maybe it was just too steep and the poles were just there, too dangerous if the kids don’t know how to stop.

This park is great for sledding, snowshoeing, and playing in the snow (making snowmen, snowballs, etc.).

As for the grounds, there is one restroom 🚻, no playground, and no picnic area (many people picnic out of their cars).
Dogs are allowed and must be on leash.
Permits are required to park in the small lot.
