I reserved a box truck for the day, I wanted to get everything from my storage in 1 load. When I got to the dublin store I was told it was not available , you over booked and the reservation should not have been approved. My only choice was a van , I was only able to get 1 load and had to go back 2 more times in my own truck. Toyota tacoma , small pick up. I was not happy !

I rented a truck from the U-Haul in Dublin for my 75 year old elderly father thinking that it would be like any other U-Haul…SAFE! Sadly I was mistaken. The U-Haul they provided him to drive from Northern California to Southern California was not fit for use. The U-Haul trucks instrument cluster would off randomly on the highway going speed limit! There was an exhaust leak in the cab! And there was also garbage left under the driver seat! When we got to Southern California and turned in the U-Haul, they were horrified that this location rented out this vehicle. I’m adding the license plate so hopefully this vehicle will be taken out of commission before it kills someone. Please test your vehicles before renting them and risking someone’s family.

Staff is friendly and accommodating, however the office is always short staffed so picking up and checking in can take much longer than you would hope for. Also 10 out of 10 times you will receive a vehicle with very little gas in the tank which is very disrespectful to the customer. When you rent a vehicle it should be gassed up and ready to go for you. Instead this location expects their customers to go get gas on the way out and then fill it again on the way back.

Equipment has always been good quality , but recommend making reservations online. When I went in person to rent a van the owner messed up my email and the amount of time I wanted the rental to be.

Also pro tip: Renting for 24 hours is the same price as renting for less, so save yourself the hassle (and money) of trying to return exactly on time and give yourself time to move your things, and always rent for 24 hours, you can always bring it back early if you want.
