Bought a used Ranger. Went here to transfer warranty. The lady said I would need to leave the boat so they could "inspect" it. She obviously didn't want to deal with me since there was no one else there. Do better Ranger.

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was quoted a 1-2 week turnaround time to fix my trolling motor and they kept my equipment for over a month without even fixing it.

When I dropped off my trolling motor, I told the clerk what the issue was and what needed to be fixed, (I just didn't have the time to fix it myself) I was assured it would be fixed within 1-2 weeks. Well, after a few weeks had passed with no word from Dason Boat Center, I made several phone calls myself for an update but unfortunately kept getting the run around (because to my surprise the tech hadn't even looked at it yet) When the tech did get around to looking at it A MONTH later, I was told that the part needed to fix the motor was on back order- so I just asked if I could come get the part and I would fix it myself as the trolling motor was needed for tournament fishing.

Frustrated, I went to pick up my broken motor and the clerk tells me it would be $95 to pick up. I am extremely disappointed in the LACK OF SERVICE- I would understand if services truly had been rendered as promised but they were not. If your shop is too busy to take more orders, my suggestion is that you just tell people you are booked or possibly tell your potential customers the correct turnaround time and give them timely updates if there is a delay.

Fellow customers - if you want work done from a boat shop who is unreliable and deceiving with extremely poor customer service, this is the place for you to go! I have been a tournament fisherman for over a decade and I have NEVER experienced such poor service. Highly DO NOT recommend.

edited to add: My issues is not with the delayed parts order- it is the fact that I was deceived with the turnaround time when I dropped the trolling motor off and the lack of customer service and updates received while in your possession. The 95$ charge in my opinion should've been waived- its the principal of the matter

Recently bought a used ranger Z19 from Dawson boat center I'm getting close to retirement age and cain't afford the price of a new boat and had driven some good distances to look at boats only to be disappointed, I live about 45 miles south of birmingham so it is a good drive for me to Dawson boat center I called and talked to Greg Dawson with my questions about the boat posted he was very honest with me and we were able to make a deal when I arrived the boat was ready to take to the lake for a test all the staff were very kind and helpful the boat was actually better than the pics and Greg described and now after owning the boat for a while am very satisfied with the whole experience

The only reason I gave 5 stars is because they didn’t have 6 !!
I had a problem with my boat last week. Called all the boat shops in Guntersville with no luck, all said it would be at least 2-3 weeks. I want to fish the Big Bass Splash next week so I was worried I wouldn’t make it this year, my wife called Dawson’s Wendsday and they said bring it over and they would check it . They ran a scan on it while she waited and within 10 minutes told her what the problem was . Thankfully it wasn’t major. They repaired and I picked the boat up the next day. Awesome job, great customer service, and very friendly people ….. I’ll never go anywhere else for Boat repairs !!! Thank you

Purchased a used Stratos from Dawson in February of this year ('21). The sales experience was great and very thorough. The staff even stayed late to give me some maintenance tips for motor longevity. After using the boat for a few months, I'm even happier with the treatment at Dawson. Highly recommended.

I purchased a pre-owned 2019 Ranger RT188 and couldn't be happier with the boat and the price was more than fair considering the condition of the boat. I still can't believe the boat was pre-owned it looked brand new. If you wan't a no hassle sales process ask for Joel and you will be pleased with how simple he made the process for me. We financed the boat and the finance company they use in house made it easy and was simple and transparent. I would recommend Dawson Boat Center for anyone looking for bass boat.

These guys always do a great job. Easy to get boat in for repairs. Mechanics actually diagnose and fix problems instead of just changing parts. Glad they are close enough to be able to use them for all my boat needs.
