Action Sports is, without a doubt, the best bike shop/ sporting goods store in the valley. A very dangerous place if you're in the market for a new bike - they will surely have what you're looking for! If you are in need of winter gear, they always have a full selection of ski and snowboard paraphernalia to make that Sierra trip a success. In short, we are lucky to have Kerry and his team here in Bakersfield.

I have been a customer for many years now, bought three bikes from them so far and have been happy till couple years ago ... and it seems their priority on customer has changed in last two years .. Store seems to be losing its focus on quality of the work, and has started to focus more on cosmetics (feels like you are walking to a beauty shop not a bike shop)_... I walk in the door and there are people waiting for me that makes me feel I am walking to a trap ... they want to walk my bike to the shop (why do you think I can't walk my 10 more steps the bike shop?), which I can do!!! What I can't do is what I need from the shop, and shop mechanical quality seems to be very low these days ... walked in for flat tire, waited 3 days, and during pick up no one can tell WTF they have done on my bike, what was wrong (tire issue, valve issues) with my bike. During pick up, I see a different color valve on my tires (everything was black when I dropped it) and now I have these gold shiny valves stem both in front and in the back (they changed the valve for the healthy tire too), really? ...I asked what was with the tire, the dude was clueless, went back in the shop, and after few minutes, came back back still clueless, and walked to the front to pay the receipt ... details matter to me, if my bike is with you for 3 days for flat tire, at least give me the same color valve and valve stem ... and please, instead of nice faces welcoming and trying to get my bike out of my hand every time I walk in, pay attention to my bike in the shop, and repurpose some of these welcoming folks to shop mechanics, so a flat tire does not take 3 days to repair!!! also make sure the mechanics are well trained ... wondering if I have to take my bike back for even a flat tire ...

Our family had a wonderful experience. The staff, including the owner, were incredibly helpful and friendly. They encouraged our daughter to test out the bikes, which was a nice touch. The service was excellent, and it was clear that the owner truly cares about his customers, which is something that really makes a difference these days!

I brought two 25 year old bikes into Action Sports for repairs and a tune-up. The bikes had been in storage for many years. Cameron was extremely helpful in explaining my options and assisting me to choose the right parts and repairs for my budget and taking into consideration the type of bike riding my husband and I would be doing with these bikes. We have since ridden them a few times and we are very happy with the quality of work and the friendly service we received.

The place is very clean, there is plenty of parking. The turnaround was fantastic, the staff was quite friendly, knowledgeable and the quality of work was exactly what I expected... top notch!

The prices for bikes are not cheap but worth every penny, high end equals high quality!

The mechanic Jerry did some great work on my 1992 Haro Extreme, getting it back into riding condition, after I spent years of riding it into the ground... many thanks to you sir!

I upgraded to a new road bike and as usual Action Sports has plenty of inventory. The staff is very knowledgeable. Mathew Van Horn worked with me to get the bike setup perfectly. I came in a few days later to add a GPS bike computer and worked with David D. David took the time to help get the computer setup on my phone and bike. Always outstanding service and the staff work together as a team. Very professionally run operation.
