I rented a premium vehicle and when I went to pick it up they said it will be and additional $400 deposit which was not stated on the contract that was emailed. The cashier/customer service person was rude and insulting but I rented the vehicle any way because I was headed out of town. Brought the vehicle back full of gas no issues they checked it and my card was credited for the right amount and I got the $400 back. A week later they charged me $17.97 and no one can tell me what that amount is for. The manager claimed he was going to look into it but never called back. I will never use this rental place again and since I am a travel agent I will be sure my customers never use you again and I will pass this information to other agents so they can also make there customers aware before using you.

Everyone at the Birmingham Airport Alamo counter was so polite and helpful, both when we arrived and when we dropped off our vehicle. In particular, Synethia at the counter was fantastic! While documents from one customer were printing, she move that customer one spot over, greeted the next customer, asked the necessary questions, and gathered ID / credit card. Each customer was in and out of there in about 10 minutes. Alamo is now my preferred car rental agency.

Very friendly employees! My flight was 8 whole hours late and I still had a vehicle readily available to rent. The young lady that helped was very friendly and quick. When I returned my vehicle, I was moving rather quickly as I was cutting it close and didn't want to miss my flight. The gentleman that was there for the return was friendly. I was a little short with my responses as I couldn't really chit chat because I needed to catch my flight. He followed my lead and was moving as quick as I was. He continued being jovial and never got offended. He moved right beside me asking his questions as I was making my way to the airport. He didn't skip a beat! Man, did he understand the assignment!! Kudos to him!

Excellent and fast service. I missedy connecting fly due to weather and my flight got there late. They are supposed to close at midnight but we're still open when I got there at 5 minutes till midnight. I said no problem. They usually hang out whenever flights delayed. I was super happy with everything. The car was super nice and did well.

We originally had an Alamo rental from/to Atlanta. When we were driving close to Birmingham, it developed a slow air leak in one of the tires.
We tried our luck, pulling I to the return lane at the Birmingham airport Alamo station, wanting to discuss our options.

Long story short - minutes later we were back on the road in a different vehicle (even the same make and model), with no hassle and no problems at all.

Booked through Costco and found the best rate from Alamo. I arrived at BHM airport and was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable attendant. She processed our paperwork in a timely matter. Received a brand new car also!!
Had it for 10-12 days. Also the price for Alamo to refill the car was almost .30 cheaper than gas stations in the area. When I returned the car I was greeted by a young man that asked all the right questions and directed us to the check in for our departure.
