My husband is interested in a Triumph for his next bike, but unsure of which model he likes the riding experience of best. Yesterday, we visited Sloan’s in Murfreesboro and he test rode one style and sat on a few others, but didn’t have time to test ride the others he was interested in. He called this dealership this morning to see about test riding some of the others. They gave him the run around, putting him on hold several times to ultimately say they do not do test rides unless they know you’re buying. While I understand it’s extra work put into getting the bikes ready, how are you supposed to make a 10k+ decision without knowing if you like the ride? They advised they might have a “similar” bike he could try, but again, if you don’t know you like the particular bike why would you drop that much on a “probably”. I’ve never bought a car I haven’t test driven, and I wouldn’t do that for a motorcycle either. We’ll stick with the hour and a half drive to Sloan’s and advise the same for others.

Honestly, I’m more than a little frustrated with my experience here. I called early in the morning right after opening inquiring about test riding some of the triumph bikes in their inventory. At that point I was told they don’t usually do test rides unless you’re planning on purchasing, and that it takes 3 hours to get a bike ready. They put me on hold while the sales rep went to see what they could do for me. I was on hold for 30 minutes, at which point the call was disconnected. I managed to get ahold of someone 2 hours later. They told me their phones had been down and to hold on just a second while they went back to their desk. At that point I was on hold for another 20 minutes. I hung up and called again at which point I spoke with a different person, who gave me the same spiel about 3 hours to get the bike ready and only for serious buyers. They also said they could maybe let me test ride something comparable to the bike I was interested in riding.. I’ve gotta say, what in the expletive is this business model.. I am shopping around for a new bike! Of course I want to test ride some of the different bikes I have my eye on! Unbelievable. And if their phones were down I get they can’t control that, but an hour total on hold? After calling first thing in the morning? And still no potential appointment knowing it takes 3 hours just to get the bike ready? I cannot help but think I was being given the run-around here. Also, 3 hours to get a bike ready is ridiculous. Do what other dealers do, unhook the battery, pump out the gas. I went to Sloan’s in Murfreesboro this past week and was able to test ride a bike in about ten minutes. Everyone was more than happy to accommodate me.

TLDR: Go to Sloan’s in Murfreesboro instead. You’ll be much happier for it.

The owner and one of the salesman met with us after hours to let us look at their lineup of Spartan lawnmowers. Both were very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the market for a new lawnmower.

Recently, August 2023, had two tires mounted on my KLR and an oil change for over $400. Got home to notice they did not place the Cotter pin back through the castle nut on the rear axle. Also five days later the wheel balancing weights were laying on the garage floor, after a total of 10 miles of riding and the bike sitting in the garage. Makes you wonder what else they performed professionally after getting paid professional money....I guess paying someone else for my time is not worth it in my opinion., next time will just do it myself. Will not be back which sucks because it's one of the only options around Decatur.

Buying a motorcycle from Allsport Powersports was a great buying experience. I saw a 2018 Yamaha FJR 1300 advertised in a Facebook FJR group for a great price. I began talking with Steve the owner about buying long distance.
Everyone at Allsport powersports was warm and welcoming. Steve picked me up at the airport. Dawne assisted me with financing. Dean help me get a battery cover back on. Just a great crew! I would definitely buy again with no hesitation. Thank you Allsport Powersports! ?
