I was staying for Celtic REN fair in Angels Camp, booked a room and checked in around 9pm! The lady who checked me in was very nice and friendly. I get in the room every seems ok. How ever the toilet did not work. The shower did not get cold. And at 3am water was dripping from the ceiling! When I called to talk to
Them
About it I got a different person, I was told
Don’t worry it’s just condensation from
The window in the ceiling, I asked but it’s dripping on me and the bed. Well can you move. I said no! And the toilet does not work! Oh I will
Check it In the morning! I was not offered a different room! Nothing. I packed up and left and slept in my car and ended up in a coffee shop. I paide $90 for a room I could not stay in. When I called back to
Report this to the management the person I spoke said she was sorry and that she will speak to the person I spoke to that evening. And yet! Nothing else. Not even an offer of refund! Partial! Nothing. I probably would have said no! But what happened to customer service!

Terrible experience. Rates were double what they normally are and the place is a wreck. ||We stayed in a cottage that was falling apart. Blinds all broken, shingles missing, door did not work properly and dead bolt did not work at all. One sheet was dirty and one wash cloth dirty. We avoided taking a shower. Mismatched stained furniture. ||Room was freezing or extremely hot when wall heater turned on and no extra blankets or warm comforter if we wanted to avoid wall heater.||Two dogs in adjoining room barking for hours which is not usually the case in pet friendly hotels as pets are not left alone. Front desk clerk said they settle down ( but they didn’t). I felt like the dogs lived there. Otherwise how would she know they would settle down. We had young children who could not fall asleep because B of the dogs.||No available parking so we parked on the street.||We had driven a long time to get here so we stayed but I wish we hadn’t.

No frills budget hotel with a clean room and friendly staff. The key here is price, I paid 66 bucks on Priceline out the door and anything more is overpriced. It’s absolutely fine, the hotel cats are nice. The coffee machine in room takes forever and sounds like a jet engine.

Stayed here over the weekend. Booked a cottage. Was pleasantly surprised at the size. Was not expecting a full kitchen. The location was great, right on Main Street Jamestown. Water pressure was great, amenities in the room were great. Clean. TV was large. Bathtub was large. Decent coffee pot. Full sized fridge. Nice lotions and soaps in the bathroom.
The cons though- $140 for the night but no continental breakfast. That was an extra $15. The furniture was very flimsy Ikea-ish. The futon couch in the room was not comfortable to even sit in, broken down in the middle with a huge dip in it. The mattress was not very thick. But comfortable enough. The bedding was good though. We didn't have enough cream and sugar for the coffee. Only 1 pack each.
The only things I really didn't like, the parking in the back of the building is really tight. Not easy to turn around. Lots and lots of wires and cables running all over the property hooked up to security cameras. We open up our front door and there's a camera pointed right to our door. Also- no black out curtains. When that sun hit the blinds- it woke us up when we wanted to sleep in. The property also had a feel of being low budget due to all the construction items/ garbage laying around. And there's broken down vehicles parked in the back where guests could be parking. You need to park on the narrow main street or across the street in public parking which is gravel.
All in all- not bad. Just wished for a little cleaner property with no homeless looking people around.
Ps. Pizza Plus next door is amazing for dinner and all the shops on Main Street are easy to walk to.

Really nice people working there, was a good price for what you get if you’re traveling to Yosemite. We were camping in 100 degree heat and decided to pack it up and come here and was a great choice!

I love this place!!My only complaints are the carpet in my room was very old and filthy!! disgusting and two square tiles on the bathroom floor had long, sharp cracks in them. Otherwise, I love everything else about this Hotel... Quirky, feels authentic! Lots of character and price was reasonable and they are friendly. also they provide a very nice complementary breakfast, nicely done!!I stayed in the main building right off of the front upstairs balcony. I also love the location!

Some staff are polite and helpful as possible. A lot of traffic in the late night. People shouting up and down hallway and slamming doors disrupting other hotel guess. Upstairs rooms are not very comfortable with all the noise. Cottages are better to stay in. More private and quite. Still a lot of traffic in hotel. Continental breakfast was old fruit was molded. I would not recommend this hotel. Will never stay here again.

After reading some of the other reviews, I felt that I needed to describe our experience. We spent three nights at the hotel. We had a very nice, but small, room on the second floor. The furniture was antique and added much atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable and we were pleased to find it covered not with a bedspread but with a clean (and launderable) duvet similar to what we found when we traveled in Scandinavia.

Unlike a previous reviewer, we had our own bathroom which was small but clean. The porch swing on the back porch and the chairs on the balcony overlooking a very quiet main street provided memorable spots to sit and sip a glass of wine in the evening.

The staff was very nice and very helpful, and it sounds as if the staff described in other reviews must have been replaced.

The hotel is old and therefore a bit rough around the edges, but we felt that we had a very good experience here, and we would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area.
