Au Cocolat is the chocolate and candy store in Boston. The selection of caramel and double chocolate treats is amazing. You purchase the chocolate by the pound or purchase a presorted bag candy. The people that work there are the sweetest people you can meet.

Loved the store and the employee was very nice but unfortunately the chocolate had ants and bugs in it. Will never purchase from here again. What a waste of $45

So be aware this shop is a tiny space. Every nook and cranny that can be used was, but that is part of the fun of exploration. It can feel overwhelming, but I decided to dive in.

I was greeted and asked if I was looking for something in particular. I like chocolate, but don't love it, and usually only crave it now when PMSing. I went straight for my go to which is dark chocolate with caramel. I also got the mint chocolate, and the one she suggested (Which of course tasted the BEST and I wish I had gotten more of) caramel praline with almonds dark chocolate and sea salt. I was so good I almost went back. I will agree that the dark chocolate caramel ones I got were kind of basic, though nice, nothing to write home about. But the other two- so worth it!

It is not cheap, but for me it was worth it. I barely looked at a 1/10th of what they had to offer. They even had some non chocolate candies. I would recommend popping in. It was a welcomed surprise.

I bought chocolates from here for Valentine's Day, the shopping assistant that helped me, was "nice", but very pushy and ended up scamming me. I carefully selected 11 chocolates, pairs of 5 different flavors and one chocolate cone. She gave me 5 of the ones i asked and another 6 of the flavor (that now i assume is the least sold because it is not tasty). I was very specific with my request and to my face she confirmed, but when i opened the box at home, I saw that she lied to me. I expected the high price, but I ended up paying for 11 chocolates that i wanted specifically, and ended up getting only 5 out of them. Very disappointed and will never come back. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT: Only 2 flavors were actually delicate and well made, the rest of them tasted like the cheapest CVS brand, extremely sweet and little to no flavor. It is a SHAME that they advertise as Belgian Chocolate, because it tastes like CVS brand chocolates. Don't recommend this place at all.

Very unhappy with what I purchased. I bought a box of chocolates for $80 this Valentine’s Day and I am so disappointed.I look forward to purchasing these very year but this year I am sad to say that it tastes not better then the CVS brand. Usually the chocolate has a very rich and creamy flavor but this year there is just no zing to it. You can even see a noticeable difference in the past years (I have taken photos). In 2021 the chocolate was dark and this year it’s very milky. Safe to say that you are wasting your money if you buy from them.

I have purchased candy from this establishment since the 80’s when I first started working in the financial district. I love this shop, the selections of chocolate and non chocolate goodies. The double stuffed Oreo’s are off the charts!
