My husband and I wanted a laid back mini vacation from LA and this place fit the bill perfectly. We wanted a quiet and easy getaway and the amenities here made everything effortless. We stayed here for two nights and wanted to stay longer. Our room was 208 which was an ocean view with a king bed. We left only the screen door closed so we could hear the ocean waves lull us to sleep.||We started our morning with beach yoga which was one of my favorite hotel amenities at 8 AM. There’s nothing else like warrior 2 with the seagulls flying nearby and the soundtrack of the gently crashing waves in the background. My husband isn’t a yogi and the stretching was gentle enough for all levels beginner to advanced. ||Breakfast is until 10 AM in the galley and we brought it back to our room to eat on our balcony with view of the ocean. The hotel has free rentals of beach equipment and we borrowed some beach chairs, a beach umbrellas, and towels to take to the beach across from the hotel. We finished our day in the hot tub and swimming pool.||We’ll definitely be back next time we need a break from LA. Next time, I want to try the oceanfront room to have a more direct view of the sea. We were happy with the ocean view room. I’m just curious about the oceanfront view.

Not worth the ridiculous high price of their rooms when they had hardly any rooms booked for our stay in February. The front desk woman was not Accommodating she almost seem like we put her out and they charge $15 a day for parking and the parking lot was empty. We have stayed there several times and will never stay there again! The screen door barely opened and they charged us for an upgrade even though the hotel was empty. It’s not of a hotel that is friendly and and willing to make your stay accommodating… it’s all about the money! Whenever we asked for anything at seems like it was a bother!

Clean very comfy bed. Few steps to the beach, very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast had a large selection. Wish I could have enjoyed yoga on the beach. Walked down to the local coffee shop and enjoyed walking the beach.

Positive: Everything! Beautiful, welcoming lobby, fresh cookies to enjoy, helpful, professional staff, wonderful room, super clean, great view! Negative: No! We wish the sun would have been out more during our stay, but that was certainly not the hotels issue!

This hotel is so beautiful and in a gorgeous location. Staff has been so helpful, breakfast is included with the resort fee, our room is very comfortable and all rooms are suites so really spacious. Lots to do in this area! Just a perfect place!

Excellent staff and very well cared for place! Upon arrival we were greeted by Noelle with a wine gift and a card. The staff here is fantastic. Very personable and down the earth. The location is great and the suites are well cared for as well as the grounds. I highly recommend Avila Lighthouse Suites! We loved it and we loved the cleanliness, friendly staff and the whole area! We will be back!

Very nice hotel overlooking the beach. Literally across the road from the sand and water. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance in a very cute area. Love sleeping with the sound of the waves in the background. We will definitely return.

Beautifully decorated hotel sitting right on the beach. Dog friendly with a deposit. Patio facing the ocean. Breakfast included. Pricey but we'll worth it.
