I had an incredible experience working with Mario at Bakersfield Chrysler Jeep while purchasing my 2024 Jeep Gladiator. From start to finish, Mario made the process smooth, informative, and enjoyable.

Mario was knowledgeable about the Gladiator and he really took the time to understand what I was looking for in a vehicle. I never felt pressured, and he made sure I was fully informed about all my options.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The salesman Mario went above and beyond for us. He was extremely honest and transparent about pricing and everything during the process of our vehicle purchase. This bad review is specifically for the Service Department.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but I feel that customer service has been declining over the last couple of visits. This most recent experience was when I took my wife’s Jeep Compass for servicing.

Firstly, we didn’t receive a call about the diagnosis until my wife called three business days later. On the fifth day, I called early in the morning to get an update. I spoke with a service rep, who told me he would talk to the technician and get back to me. I waited four hours and received no call back. I tried to contact the service rep twice within a three-hour gap, and he was at lunch both times. I left a note with the operator, requesting that he please call me back.

Finally, my wife received a text late in the afternoon that our car was ready for pickup. To top it off, there was an empty tuna sandwich box left on the passenger side mat, presumably left by the technician who worked on the car. That is unacceptable and unprofessional.

I understand that they are busy, but they should at least take the time to acknowledge their customers. I work in customer service myself, so I’m always polite and courteous when dealing with others who work in the field.

I am thrilled at the service I received from Keith & Shawn. Keith has been the most respectful and attentive salesman I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. He and Shawn both worked hard to coordinate my out-of-town sale & trade-in, having my car delivered directly to me (about 5 hours away). I knew I was taking a risk, but Keith made sure I knew exactly what I was getting before putting anything into motion. There was no pressure or aggressive attitudes, just a lot of transparency and honest conversations! Such a breath of fresh air from the three other dealerships I’ve dealt with the last few weeks. Even after the deal was complete, Keith has immediately responded to any leftover questions I’ve had. On top of getting an absolutely fair price for my trade-in plus a great deal for my new vehicle, Keith went out of his way to mail my sunglasses to me that I had forgotten in my trade-in. I can’t recommend them enough!!

Our sales guy Alejandro was awesome. He made the whole buying process smooth. Also, Roy in finance really helped us get into a comfortable payment and the both helped us go from a used jeep into a new jeep.

Replaced defective coil, fixed the check engine light. Was supposed to replace the PCV valve also, I don’t feel that was done although it was claimed on the warranty. After the repairs were supposed to have been completed I found oil in my air filter and the air box. I cleaned it and drove about 50 miles and rechecked the box and again found oil. I replaced the PVC valve myself and the valve I removed did not appear to be a new one. I was also charged for rivets for fender as it was supposed to have been taken out to replace the valve. I found only 4 “rivets that were new, the cost being about $25 per rivet. The fender liner could not have been taken off with the ones that were replaced.
I gave 2 stars only because they did replace a coil pack.

Ok…..we have taken our 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to Bakersfield Chrysler Jeep since December 2023 for the fuel injection pump RECALL. They kept putting us off, wouldn’t schedule it until July 28, 2024 when our Jeep blew up on our way to work! We got towed to the dealership at 7:30 in the morning in that Sunday. Service wasn’t open so we had to rent a car. We talked to Eric on Monday morning, he said he would have our Jeep towed onto the lot by end of day. That Friday my Jeep was still sitting on the street! For a month we couldn’t get a conversation with Eric about our Jeep, they would not provide a loaner car until ours was diagnosed and determined a covered issue. They never put our Jeep on a trickle charger to maintain the batteries (it’s an Eco Diesel). So when they finally said they had it fixed, it wouldn’t start because of the dead batteries!! Of which they will not cover! What should have been a few hundred dollar recall turned into at least $18,000 + in repairs!! We finally got it back after over a month at the dealership, in less than 24 hrs and 50 miles it’s toast and towed back to the dealership again! It’s been there this time for 6 days and they still don’t know why it’s leaking fluid and high oil temp of over 300 degrees!! At least we got a loaner this time!! They would not provide the paperwork we needed to file for rental car reimbursement until we got it back from the recall repairs. Oh and the rental car costs were over $1500.00!!! We feel the communication and service is severely lacking at this dealership. I will not ever recommend them to anyone. Please research and choose a dealership with a better service department.
