The sale was great. The service after the sale is amazing. I simply do not have the time or knowledge to keep up with a complex boat. These guys have made ownership an absolute joy.

Great staff from Sales to Service. Best buying experience we have ever had!! The owner treated us like he knew us for 20 years and his sales staff is very knowledgeable along with introducing us to the service staff that were so polite. We felt like family after leaving there.

Wow. Would have though better of a Pickwick small business owner. Tried for a month to schedule an oil change on a new boat that we purchased out of state. Never could nail down a time or get a call back to schedule with them because they were “behind schedule” and the scheduler had to talk with her manager. Finally called again today and she connected me with the owner / I guess he decides who gets to be serviced? So bizarre. He said they were behind and asked where I bought my boat. I told him Ohio. He asked if I lived locally. I’m in Memphis and have a house in PICKWICK. He proceeded to tell me that they usually don’t service boats that haven’t been purchased at Barnes Marine. I’m sorry WHAT? Your book of business is THAT big that you want to turn away boats and weekenders? Absolutely not. I told him I’d be happy to find someone else to service my new boat and give the business to someone else. He tried to tell me he was going to do me a favor but “ok” if I wanted to do that. Nope. You aren’t doing me any favors by taking my money and performing a service. So after a month of trying to get an oil change appt, we’ll be using a different marina In town for all future service and boat purchases.

I just bought a boat here yesterday. (1/12/24). Easiest people to deal with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a boat. Jason and Jamie were excellent.

We have used Barnes Marines for years. We have been mostly happy with their service in the past. We called them this year to set up our regular service. They told us they would not service our boat this year. They did not give us the courtesy of letting us know they were discontinuing our service. They waited until we tried to schedule our service to tell us. We have been loyal customers for years, we always paid our bills promptly and didn’t complain very much. This is a very unprofessional business practice. I guess they have so much business they don’t have to be loyal to their customers.

These guys are what marine stores should model themselves after. It was Saturday and we were 2 hours from home on a two day fishing trip. Our Triton tandom axil wheel blew a wheel bearing. We were stranded and couldn’t even fish. We rolled in on a Saturday morning and these guys were so nice. They fixed my wheel bearing and got us back to our trip. We were not even a buying customer and they were so willing to help us. You could tell the service manager loved what he did for a living and as a business owner myself I understand walk in problems on Saturdays. I highly recommend these people for any kind of boat needs.

Biggest ripoff artist in Pickwick. They kept our boat 3 weeks only to call us and say we don’t work on 2 stoke motors. So why do you think we were charged 135.00 for an hour labor? They did nothing to the boat. Still doesn’t run.

I paid almost $400 for Barnes to shrink wrap my boat to help protect it and add security for a long interstate tow. The top of the wrap failed within the first 60 miles. I immediately called Barnes and also sent photos. They offered for me to return to the shop for repairs, but my schedule was too tight to take the time it would have taken to double back and spend more time waiting for a repair. I ended up cutting the top out to prevent further damage and completed the trip. The sides of the wrap held well for the entire trip. I contacted Barnes afterward and proposed what I thought was a reasonable offer to split my cost for the wrap. Management (Tim Barnes) did not return my call. Instead he directed a new employee to tell me that the wrap wasn’t meant for towing (although I explained my purpose for the wrap to my Barnes contact from the outset). Barnes refused to refund any portion of my cost. Apparently, in this case, Barnes placed revenues above responsible customer service.
