Good culture of safety. Overpriced steel work. If their yard is over filled they can kinda screw you over in the sense that the work they've promised you doesn't get done right away so in order to make your deadlines they have to use swing shifts. getting paid overtime to finish the job. I think this is because they have too many jobs In the yard at once. But otherwise it's grown far more safety oriented over the years and it's for the best.

Bay ship and yacht is an example of the best of the best. They are a fantastic employer and they do amazing work. For Alamedens Bayship and yacht flies a bit under the radar. You really can't see their business from the roads around Alameda. But Alamedens should know, Bay Ship And Yacht contributes to the Bay Area economy and makes possible our robust, continuously growing, passenger ferry services. Have you ever wondered where tugboats get worked on? Do you have an idea what tugboats do? Without tugboats, those giant cargo ships that bring in everything we use in the United States and export all the things we grow in the Central Valley would not be able to moor alongside the dock. And without Bayship and yacht, those tugboats wouldn't run. Bay ship and yacht is one of the unsung heroes of our region.
