I recently took my 100K+ mile Honda Civic in for major maintenance and was really impressed with Amanda. After calling around and getting unnecessary advice from other dealers, Amanda accurately identified the needed services right away. She was friendly, patient, and saved me a ton of time by providing reasonable price. On service day, she greeted me warmly and was clearly well-prepared, making the whole process stress-free despite a slight delay (for which she apologized in advance). I appreciate her honest, knowledgeable approach and would highly recommend her and her team. Kudos, Amanda!

I wouldnā€™t bother coming here if youā€™re looking to buy a car. We came to see cars and the salesperson was vague and unhelpful. For example, we asked questions like, ā€œif we want a specific color or trim that you donā€™t have, will we be able to order it? How long will it take?ā€ All of the salespersonā€™s answers were ā€œit dependsā€, and he didnā€™t elaborate. He stepped off to take a phone call for 10 min and left us standing on the lot, and was unhelpful overall. He didnā€™t have any business cards and asked for our phone number to follow up, which he never did.

We ended up purchasing a brand new Honda CRV Sport L hybrid at San Leandro Honda instead, as we found their salespeople to be a lot more pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable.

Dont buy used here! Mechanical issues since day of purchase. Most recently i experienced a huge performance decrease in vehicle. With vibrations on idle and whining on acceleration. Brought it in and the ā€œused vehicle techā€ determined it was A/C compressor and that my vehicle was running fine and OK to drive. Knowing this was not the case, i asked to speak to the ā€œtechā€ and was told he was out for a drive and would call me back. 4 hours later i received a text stating i would need to come in to speak to him because he doesnā€™t call customers. Charged me 225 for a ā€œdiagnosticā€ which was actually just a drive test and what seems like a bad guess. Never had any ac problems with the vehicle. 2nd opinion shop found all motor mounts are bad and alternator is going as well as some issue with front axle. Crazy all you can find with an actual inspection. All in all they have a lazy so called tech who doesnt seem to take the customers experience with the vehicle seriously, and a service team who will stand behind him and make you feel like you dont know a thing about the car you drive everyday. Make your 2nd opinion your first, do not take your vehicle here.

The people and workers here are not good at all. They do not work properly either. I got my car serviced and they did not put the screws in the lower part of the car. When I went to them, they told me to make an appointment. What is the meaning of appointment if the work is not done properly while providing service? The biggest thing is that they don't matter. No matter how many reviews you post?

I would give zero stars if I could.. my son lost his only key while at work (his car is in a locked secured area) we have it towed here for the fabrication of a new key on Wednesday and on Saturday they called me saying had already made one key but had to wait until Monday to get the second since they didnā€™t have it in stock, I agreed than Monday comes and they call me to say they couldnā€™t get none of the keys programmed since the car was delivered on Saturday (mind you that it was actually Wednesday and Saturday was when they had called me to say they had one done) now as a result I had to pay over$1000 to have the computer replaced because according to them that couldā€™ve only happened if someone trying to steal his car tried programming a new key but as I previously stated the car was in a locked and secured spot and after requesting camera footage you can see clearly that no one got not even close to the car while my son was in his shift.. now looking into a lawsuit.

Great experience buying my first new vehicle. Customer service was excellent, no pressure, no tricks, just super helpful and honest. They went out of their way to accommodate me. The exact trim and color I wanted wasnā€™t available at the Berkeley location so they drove 6 hours to another location to get me exactly what I wanted and then delivered it to me sparkling clean and with a full tank of gas. I dealt with 3 different people from salesperson to finance to the general manager and each one treated me the same. With the utmost respect and red carpet treatment. They obviously train all their personnel to make each customer feel listened to and fully accommodated. The salesperson spent hours with me explaining everything about the car.

I have so much praise for the service at Berkeley Honda. Amanda is the service writer who helped me with my unscheduled maintenance. And, because I have been a customer for 12 years, they expedited the service. Jesse is part of the service team and kept me apprised of progress of the service. Ron is the mechanic who worked on my car and he is a genius. He figured out the problem in record time. And, Steve who is the general manager provided his personal touch by joking with me while I was waiting for my car. If you have a Honda and live in the SF Bay Area, you should only take your car to Berkeley Honda. They are the best.
