My wife and I are on a 7300 km trip from home in Canada, through the United States and back again. Checking the tires one morning realized I needed a new rear tire installed and called ahead to MJ and Ripley at Big Valley Honda and they got me sorted out. We arrived at the dealership to smiles and happy faces at 9 o’clock in the morning and were thoroughly impressed with the people, their generosity and, the camaraderie that they showed each other and us as customers to their business.

In the end, their Mechanic (whose name I never got and I’m sorry about that) inspected my front and rear brake pads and let me know they should really be replaced so if you went ahead and did that as well. All in all we were in and out in a hair over two hours after being a surprise drop in service call.

Thank you so much to MJ and Ripley and the nameless mechanic at Big Valley for their fantastic support and seeing us safely home.

I have placed an order for the Rebel 1100 Left Saddlebag and Left Support Bracket. I received the right side for the wrong model ( I think this for Rebel 300 or 500). I called and talked to Justin. I explained him the situation and asked him to overnight the correct parts to me as I need it for my road trip starting on Saturday. First he said he can't overnight it unless I pay for the cost. Then I said why should I pay for overnight shipping when you messed up the order. He took a min to talk to someone and came back and told me he can overnight it, but it won't be picked up by UPS until tomorrow, which means it won't make it here on Saturday or maybe even Sunday. I asked him to drop it off to UPS but he said he can't leave bc they are short staffed. I do not know any other customer service representative that could care less about something they messed up at this level. Justin was really negative for everything I asked him to do for an order I already paid for. This is really a very unpleasant attitude. The nearest UPS is 7.2 miles to your dealership and you refuse to even try to get it to me. I took this to Honda USA Customer Care. What a stupid waste of time.

EDIT: After my first call asking these people correct my order, they shipped me my order. This time they only sent the bracket. It is unbelievable. When I called, Mark (sales manager) told me that I should have kept the saddle bag and only return the incorrect bracket. One thing he failed to check is that the bags for the right side of the bike is not the same as the right side. They clearly do not know what they are selling. He even tried to convince me bags are universal. Didn't have the simple logic of checking the item code. Right bag and left bag have different codes. They are different in size too. I still don't have my order after a week. Had to cancel my trip and lost more money than the worth of the order because of hotel reservation cancellations.
The job they bid and claim to fulfill for HONDA is utterly unprofessional. Sleazy business. MINUS 5 STARS!

I had an amazing service experience at Big Valley Honda recently. They we're awesome to deal with, knowledgeable, cool, and exceeded my overall expectations.
