Brightstar Care is amazing! All of the staff members are kind and professional. Alicia goes above and beyond to make sure my mother has the best care. She does a fantastic job of managing my mother’s medications…. Everything from calling in refills, communicating with the doctors and even picking up medications from the pharmacy. The staff members who provide transportation for my mother are always prompt and caring. What I like about BrightStar is that their staff members can actually accompany my mother to her doctors appointments…. A lot of organizations I looked into only provided one-way drop off to appointments. BrightStar has allowed my mother to maintain her independence while receiving the care she needs.

It has been such a pleasure to work with BrightStar, but the shining light of that company is Alicia Pottratz hands down. This nurse goes over and beyond for our family member to make her feel comfortable and happy. And she's more than just a kind person, she truly cares about the people in her care. It's not a 9-5 job for her, its her passion to help people and I feel so blessed that we found her!! Thank you Alicia for all that you do for my family, and you deserve more than only 5 stars!

BrighStar Care is the best in Skilled Home Care. Alicia Pottratz who is an LVN and Client Services Manager have remained focused on the best care for their clients. They have very reasonable prices, and extremely reliable experienced staff and commitment to patient well being. Alicia's follow up with her clients sets a standard for excellence in service. The caregivers were professional, friendly and timely. They delivered a wonderful job to my client! I will highly recommend them to my client.

Brightstar Care has been a life saver. The crew at the Santee office really helped my family out during a very stressful time. You see, while my husband and I were on a New Year's cruise in the Sea of Cortez, my elderly father caught Covid (for the 1st time). Unable to get back to San Diego (because the ship was not in a major port city) we were very worried about who to turn to for help. Luckily we were able to reach Brightstar by phone from the ship. They really put our mind at ease. It was a relief to know that my father would have the care he needed once he tested negative and was released from the hospital. The nurses who give him in-home support are so kind and caring. In addition, the office staff is very professional, communicative, and supportive. In short, we are very happy to have found such wonderful care for my father.

Im not sure who is writing all the positive reviews but guessing its about the one nurse frequently listed in these reviews or that they are unverified. I was looking forward to working with them for infusions after reading the reviews but my experience was totally different and I feel it’s important to keep it real so people don’t get false hope when needing care. It definitely was not a helpful manager of the place connecting with me right away as the reviews state. I was told that nurses would not want to do once a month infusions around my work hours and she would double check and call me back if someone agreed. The pharmacy Im using let me know that they normally contract with brightstar for after hours support but this is unavailable and I am once again unable to get needed treatment due to misinformation. I never got a return call so I guess thats a no and the woman did not care enough to even let me know.

I have to say, it’s pretty rare to deal directly with the business owner where home care services are concerned, but I found myself in this exact situation a few weeks back. I called Bright Star Care and a gentleman named Valen answered the phone. He is the one that came to my family member's house to explain things to them and then he explained he would be sending his nurse to assess them and create a plan of care for the caregivers to follow. They are a somewhat of a fall risk so having help for them while I’m at work is crucial for safety. The caregivers have all been very professional and from what I understand, have tons of experience. Seriously a much easier process than I thought it would be. Thank you, Bright Star Care for making this process so great us!
