I rented the e-bike for all day. They said the battery would last all day. I knew that I wanted to run along the golf cart path and didn't want to run out of battery, so I started up the hills first. I did the entire loop that dropped you back down the other side of the casino. Once I came down the back side of the mountain, my battery level was at 42%. That left me with plenty of power for the rest of the day.
It was a very easy transaction. I rented the bike online a day before my cruise ship was in port. After about three hours of shopping and riding, I decided to return to my Carnival ship. If you are deciding between doing the e-bike or the regular bicycle, I would definitely recommend the e-bike. I am 49 and in fairly decent shape, but the hills in Avalon are massive. I would definitely recommend using Brown's bikes next time you are visiting Catalina island. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great.

If you can ride a bike, we highly recommend electric bikes for the island. This terrain is steep & a lot of walking if you don't have a bike. We rented for the day & the price was reasonable. I don't recommend the golf carts, because they are everywhere. Electric bikes are more agile & I believe that they are more fun then a golf cart. Thanks for having these available for rent!

Easy online booking with a discount. Friendly helpful staff with clear instructions on how to use the bike. The E bike I rented was basically brand new . A great way to see more of the island in a short period of time.

Friendly service at the counter. Reasonable prices. We rented the 7speed cruiser. It was nice that they also included a basket to store our things. If you want to go incline, i suggest renting the electric. They have variety of options.

Browns Bike's genuinely took my day trip to a whole other level. The shop is visible from the Avalon port, so just walking over and renting a beach cruiser for the whole day just made exploring the island totally a breeze. Not too expensive but not the cheapest. Beach cruiser came with a basket which is essential in my opinion. Looking forward to renting with Brown's next time I'm in Catalina. I will probably try an electric bike to explore more of the hilly parts of the island.
