Budget clearly states on their website that spouse is automatically added as an authorized driver. This location makes up their own rule, says spouse has to come in and show driver's license. Totally made up rule, and a huge hassle. I won't be dealing with this business again.

I was completely shocked with my experience at this location… in the BEST way possible. Every time I typically try to rent a car, it’s not the most pleasant due to not having consistent good service at different rental car companies. I notice most staff at rental car companies seem annoyed and not as helpful. I noticed this location was different when I called them to ask questions and the person that answered was extremely nice and very helpful with giving me clarity. I believe her name was something like Vickie. I had a good feeling of giving them a chance after my conversation with her because I originally considered using Enterprise. In addition, I received a reminder call from the manager which was a touch of detail I didn’t expect. I verbally said to myself, “Wow. They even care enough to give reminder calls?” No other company has ever done that.

When I got to the location, I was greeted by Vickie and Ms. Angelia. They were so calm and welcoming, which is something I rarely see at rental companies. My process of getting my rental was TOO EASY. I was able to drive a nice brand new Toyota 4 Runner with 8 miles on it and the price was great along with the car’s performance. I returned my car to Ms. Angelia and that was an easy process as well. My entire experience with them was super pleasant. I HIGHLY recommend this location. I can’t wait to use their services again in the future.

The agent at this location is super nice and we truly enjoyed her personal service. The vehicle conditions were out of her control as were excessive uninformed charges that verge on predatory. I would not suggest renting from this location to a friend.

Always easy to get the rental I need and quickly in and out whether picking up or dropping off. We very much enjoyed the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee we rented for our beach vacation! I did find a sunglasses carrying bag that had pot in it after we'd driven 400 miles to the beach. The vehicle wasn't very clean either, looked like whoever had it last just went through a car was but didn't bother cleaning the inside or the windows. I guess they'd smoked some pot before returning it and just didn't care. When I rent a vehicle I always make sure it's been fully detailed before returning it.

Never again! Claimed car smelled like pure smoke when no one even smoked in there, but ok! 1st and last time. Car already had fur (I called) and vents molded when I rented. Lady at the counter was nice I must say. Hate I had a bad experience just don't like the feeling of being called a liar.

The lady, I forgot her name but she's a black lady, picked up the car, took a few minutes which surprised me bc I use to have to wait in enterprise for awhile, came back dropped it off and the same lady. She is phenomenal and her customer service is amazing. I will definitely rent at this specific location again and I recommend this place.

I read these reviews and I’m just going to say EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINIONS! I believe it’s how a person approaches a situation as to how that situation MAY BE HANDLED! With that being said, I have experienced nothing but GREATNESS from Mrs Angela. I’m consistently on the go, traveling in & out of Birmingham ALOT & I can honestly say Mrs Angela has AWESOME patience. During a lot of my “LAST MINUTE” runs/decisions, she has been helpful for me. Even when I’m trying to budget but want a nice & spacious vehicle, Mrs Angela uses her time to make her customers feel valuable. The south side is a busy area itself. Plus the downtown area is expanding so business will grow with them because the area is walking distance convenient. Especially for college students & hospital employees. I rather deal with Mrs Angela than the Birmingham Airport any day. I never had a problem with her customers service. She has always been respectful when I called and I can honestly say I KNOW IVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO HER STORE WITHIN A 30 min time frame lol. Each time Mrs Angela sounds as if a new person who is calling for the first time. I recommend all my fellow truck drivers to visit Mrs Angela in Birmingham when we visit family. She is the best and if u give her time to get what u want, SHE DAMN SURE GONNA MAKE SURE U SEE IT IN THE LOT WHEN U ARRIVED! I love her! She leave, US TRUCKERS LEAVING….PERIOD! U never know how a person’s day is going thru or what their week has been like. Respect & Gratitude goes a long way in this day of life & this is coming from a family member of the Mayor of Bessemer.

Great car rental service. They are more than happy to help you in any situation. The office on 3rd Ave in Birmingham, AL has great customer service and Angela is a very valuable asset to the company. My son in law and I picked up our vehicle on Friday 8/3. He rented a Toyota Corolla and I had a Jeep Compass and it was nice and roomy. The only downside of it was the "A" ( not sure what it was for, didn't check). When it's on, and you brake, it feels like the car cuts off and when you take your foot off the brake, it feels like the car cranks up again, so I was constantly turning it off. But back to the service I received, the office was just opening and they were crowded. Angela took her time with each customer and was very polite and at the same time assuring the other customers she will get with them shortly and thanking them for their patience. She was the only one working and she worked diligently with all the customers and kept a smile and great tone!
