We were so happy to come across Camp Kernville on our way home from Death Valley National Park. We stayed during the off season (just after New Years) so the park was almost empty and very quiet. The front desk staff was friendly and professional, the bathrooms were clean, and it was within walking distance to a number of restaurants and a brewery. It had direct access to the river and I suspect it would be a lot of fun to stay there when the weather is nice!

very clean, staff is super helpful and very nice. great place to stay would recommend it to everyone.short walk to town.they have Ice and wood for sale also air to pump up all your inflatables.we have stayed at another camp ground in kernville many times . camp kernville in my opinion is much nicer and staff is much more personable..

We came here as a walk-in for one night and got the best customer service. The campsite was right next to the river and had plenty of access to the river. We were upgraded to a very spacious site with a great view of the river. The bathrooms and shower were clean which was a plus! The campsite is dog friendly and has a small fenced dog patio. We tent camped but will be bringing an RV next time since the spaces are built for both. We loved it and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing campground!

Camp Kernville is a small, quiet, private, and clean campground. Their customer service was amazing. When we arrived, our site was in direct sunlight, and temperatures were in the 100s. I asked if there was any way we could move to another site, and they accommodated us to a site with some shade. We were very thankful for that. They are dog friendly and have a really cute pet area that our dog put to use while we were there. If you dont use the pet area, please be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your dogs. The public restrooms were excellent. Always clean, always well stocked, and with great showers! Even though we have an RV with a shower, I enjoyed their showers. They also have a private beach area with river access that was incredible. Just a few steps away from every site. You can bring your own canopy and set up in front of the river. Just make sure to get up early, especially on the weekend, because it gets a little busy. It's not too bad, but just get there early. If you don't have a canopy, they rent out designated riverfront canopys as well. It's super convenient if you dont have a canopy or you simply dont want to go through the hassle of waking up early and setting one up yourself. We spent most of our time at the river, and again, we are very grateful that they still allow dogs on the beach. Because of irresponsible dog owners, they are thinking of banning dogs from the beach area. So again, please be responsible and dont ruin it for everyone else. Overall, this was a fantastic campground and a fabulous experience. We will be back soon!

Amazing!!!! Had so so so much fun river rafting. I was scared at first as it was my first time. But our instructor, Jollie was very experienced and knew exactly what she was doing. She was great.
The camping area was clean and by the river. Pet friendly 👍👍👍 I would go back again.

Camping was great for the Thanksgiving weekend!! We were initially frustrated with the glitches during the booking process online, but we eventually figured out a work around. Camp Kernville is neat as a pin and they are extremely communicative. All staff was super friendly and check in was very smooth. Great location next to the river and downtown Kernville is within walking distance. The one downside was that all water had to be retrieved from a water station with no outlets to the individual sites (due to the extreme flooding the year before), but they made that part convenient as well! Overall, extremely pleased with our stay and look forward to returning!

What a great place to bring the family. Super nice staff. Beautiful beach. Fresh air and sunshine. Always clean and tidy.
