We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Cappy’s Boat Rentals on Smith Lake! Renting a pontoon and tube for the day was the highlight of our trip. The customer service was top-notch from start to finish. We decided to trade out our tube for a more adventurous one halfway through the day, and they were more than happy to accommodate our request without any hassle. Cappy’s Boats guided charters are amazing! Scott was our captain and he was THE BEST!! He showed us so many cool spots and played great music. My Bach trip was made even better with this charter! Definitely will do this again!!!

Good people, poor boats
Friendly and helpful staff, but Pontoons are old, in need of repair. Most engines 90 or 115 hp --- fine for cruising, sluggish for towing.

I'm very thankful for the owner because they had called at the last minute saying they weren't going to have a boat for us so of course I was very upset. I begged and asked if there was anything they could do for us since it was my Bachelorette party. He was able to get us a smaller pontoon for a lower price. I truly appreciate it and we had a blast!

What an excellent experience. After filling out the form electronically the day before, it took less than ten minutes to go from walking in the door to being on the boat in the water. Cappy's is a smaller outfit with friendly staff and clean, well maintained boats. To be on the water all day and not require to refill the gas was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely rent from Cappy's again!

We rented a boat from Cappy's this week and it was a wonderful experience. The boat (Grover, named after the Muppet) was in excellent condition and it performed beautifully. The staff was absolutely amazing! They were friendly, responsive, and made an extra effort to ensure our trip was a positive experience. Cappy's location is perfect for anyone coming from I-65 to reach quickly and easily. The reservation process was painless and the staff was always available to quickly answer any questions. The inclusion of a tank of gas embedded into the rental price kept us from getting hit with "add on" fees that most places charge on top of the rental cost. The shop has a variety of quality products in case you forget something and it has super clean restrooms and separate changing areas so that you can get out of wet clothes before you leave. All in all, it was a great day on the lake thanks to Cappy's.
