I recently converted my Tenere 700 to supermoto and was having issues with the handling. After being quoted for suspension work by other shops, Jim had a 30 minute call with me explaining how it isn't necessarily the suspension that's my issue, its the changed geometry of my bike with the smaller wheels.

Therefore redoing the forks and shock wouldn't cure the issue. He didn't even try to sell me anything.

Incredibly helpful, honest and knowledgeable shop. These guys are 2 hours away from me, but I won't hesitate to have them do all of my service going forward

Jim and Nickie have been taking care of my bikes ever since I started riding almost 4 years ago. Originally I went to them on a friend's recommendation and the fact that they were 2 miles away.

Everything from regular maintenance to panic calls for help when I've messed up working on my bike to of course suspension tuning I trust them with it all. Early on, Jim even gave me mini lessons on riding when I showed up for once-over checks after dropping my bike multiple times.

I've had really bad experiences with dealership maintenance whereas Jim and Nickie always charge a fair price, never push work you don't need on you, and give multiple options when it comes to solutions. Truly motorcycle enthusiasts who are amazing at what they do! Even after they moved to 2 hours away from me, they are still my shop of choice.

Jim and Nikki are awesome! They have seen my bike acouple times now and they always get me in and out. They rebuilt my rear shock in like 3 days just cause they knew I had a scheduled trackday. Other shops were saying it would take 2 months. Definitely go here if you need any work done to your bike. Jim is an expert and doesn't take shortcuts.

Had them lower my R7 about a year ago. I was nervous at first but they did a great job. Now my wife can actually ride it. Plan on having them do the same on my V4 soon.

Although I didn't go to the actual store, I had them set up my suspension at an event in Sacramento today. The suspension guy was awesome and very knowledgeable. He explained things and advised beyond just the suspension. $40 well spent. Thank you!

Starting issues with my 1100 vstar. Made (still has ) a grinding sound. Got starter gear kit and added oil & filter change. Took a ride up to Napa my oil fill cap shot off on the highway by Berkeley. Drenched in oil (includes bike) I pulled over. Bikes rear tire slipped twice trying to get safely to the side.Walked to gas station to clean up and buy oil.Found an old rubber glove and with paper towels I made a cap after filling her with the only oil the gas station had. Nothing is running right on my vstar now. Smh! Can't believe he can't get an oil change right.i did call him and he did call me back but it's not like I'm gonna have him work on it again.

New Edit 3/8/2024:
Again Catalyst Reaction went above and beyond. They moved from San Carlos to the Antioch-Brentwood area and I couldn't be happier. Took my Aprilia RSV4 in for new tires, new chain, new sprockets and fluids change. Jim did an amazing job and is just an all around friendly person. Nickie is great with communication and also very friendly. They were very flexible about Motorcycle drop off and pickup times. I feel the cost of labor was very reasonable and would recommend them to any friend that rides. I am so glad to have a trusted mechanic local. Great experience getting my suspension adjusted. In and out in 15 minutes (had an appointment). Motorcycle safely lowered and handles better as well. I would recommend this place for sure! I came from Antioch based on the recommendation from California Speed Sports! Will definitely go back for other services.
