Best shop is the whole town! Great winter gear- sleds, gloves, boots, and accessories! The owner is great; attentive and super friendly! … 2 years since my original review - stopped by today for some snow gear! The owner is so friendly and knowledgeable about everything - he is a Big Bear native. We stopped a few other places for various reasons and this shop has the best prices in town for everything (souvenirs, snow gear, boots, snow bibs, hats, gloves, sleds, and more)! The combo of low prices, good selection and the small town charm makes this a definite stop on the way up the mountain!

Wow, great people. I had my bike towed in a little after 5pm, their closing time. I called and they said "no problem, we will be here." As soon as it was off the tow truck, they were looking at it. They stayed late, patched it up, and had me on the road. Who still dies that? I was sure I was going to be stuck in a hotel fit the night and trying to find a rental car the next day.

These guys have old school values. I live 60 miles away but will started making the trip for all of my maintenance.

Chris has the only real motorcycle shop on the mountain, knowledgeable on all bikes.

On a road trip, I noticed my exhaust bolts had fallen off. Chris hooked me up and he and his mechanic spent the time to take off the heat shield and get them installed. It was a pain but he got it done, no charge. Got me back on the road in a jiffy. Of course a tip was in order and well deserved. So stop in here even if all you need is a t-shirt. His shirts are the bomb and half the price of Harley shirts. Better yet, get some work done here. Judging by the number of bikes in the shop and the scope of work from motor builds to modifications, he can do it all. A legit independent Motorcycle Repair Shop. Those are hard to find these days. Chris is awesome! I broke a part on my bike, and was stuck on the mountain. I called all of the local Honda dealers down the mountain and the soonest they could even see me was Friday, it was Monday. I called Chris and had my bike towed to him. Within a day I was riding down the mountain with an expertly repaired motorcycle. He doesn't even specialize in my bike as it has a complicated braking system and he called around and was able to make the repair. I would recommend his shop for any repair or maintenance. He was very professional and took very good care of my bike while it was in his hands. It began to rain out of the blue and I was driving by his shop and noticed that he even put a cover on my bike as it was outside and the rain was unexpected. At that moment I knew my bike was in good hands. Thank you Chris.

Chris went above and beyond for me. You're not going to find anyone like him. I was having problems with my brake caliper trying to accept the pads I purchased from him. I asked if he made house calls because I had the bike apart. I couldn't believe when he told me yes, but it wouldn't be till after 5 when he closed. Unbelievable, he came by and fixed it.
Very friendly and knowledgeable in the bike world.

I really enjoyed this motorcycle shop. It's a small business and very compact as there is very little walking room but very interesting and if you're looking for that rare part that you can't find just anywhere you very well might find it right here. I was riding through on a motorcycle rally and this happened to be one of our stops to stretch our legs and I'm just thankful that I had that opportunity. You never know what to expect from a ma and pop business such as this. I would highly recommend if your riding through that you have a chance to stretch your legs and just walk through and see what they have to offer.

Brought my ZX-6 to the Chrome Stop for clutch that would not engage. Chris rebuilt forks, cleaned carbs, oil and plugs. Said he put in new clutch. Rode bike about a mile and it quit. Said there was a short. Had bike over 2 1/2 months. Couldn't find short. Told me to just write it off as lose or try to sell. OR pull cowling try to find short myself. I'm out $800 and towed bike home. Sitting in my garage. Sorry can't recommend
