First car had engine trouble in the parking lot, so had to go through the line a second time, but there is no one manning the booths Easily waited over 2 hours when there were maybe < 20 people in line. I had to cancel the order since they didn't have any other car available. This wasn't at some early morning or late hour. This was at 11am on a Wednesday. If you want your vacation to be waiting in line multiple times, choose Dollar, Thrifty, or Hertz.

At Dollar Car Rental in Anchorage airport, Justin provided exceptional service during my car rental experience. He was both professional and helpful, making the process seamless. This was actually my third time renting from this location, and each time, I've had the pleasure of working with Justin. My first experience was so positive that I returned, even though I typically rent from Budget or Enterprise. Their customer service simply doesn't compare.

Horrible experience!!! Go to Midnight rentals locally. You’ll save way more. We reserved a van for 8 days months in advance with a credit card $1000 approximately. When we arrived they charged us close to $4000. We left and then returned within two hours to cancel because we found a much better deal. We drove less than ten total miles and they charged us $300 dollars. Do not trust them. They are gauging tourists and acting like they are your only option because it’s tourist season. Not true at all. We got a different car for less than $1000 at midnight car rentals.

Terrible experience - the car we rented showed Maintenance Required signal on screen soon after we turned it on and drove out of the rental parking garage, so we had to drive back and requested another car. After waiting another 45+ mins in line to talk to the officer, they said there was no other car available, so we had to change our plan to check out other rental services and ended up paying extra $400+. Considering the price of their rental rate and the amount of time we wasted on this, just don't bother to do car rental with them and put yourself into this hassle.

Pepa was very friendly, a clear communicator, and accommodating. A really nice person to interact with first-thing upon landing in Anchorage. Car is really nice, otherwise a typical rental car experience, but wanted to leave a review for Pepa specifically because he’s doing a really good job.

This store is the worst! I went in an hour early, stood in the line for another half hour only to be asked to come back closer to my pick up time. Seems like they dont want to do business! But sad reality is that there are no other options! I could see other customers as well cursing this company but still stand in the line to pick the car! How bad of the world we are living in!

The agent at the counter was very nice, professional, and quick. I loved the new Kia Carnival. The agent at drop off was also ready when I arrived, was kind, and prompt. I love renting a clean vehicle that has absolutely zero smell of smoke.

These people are awful. Like many of the ratings if I could go negative stars I would. I booked through a third party website and when I get there they ask what insurance I wanted on it so I told them I wanted the lowest grade insurance they had like I had said in the booking. So turns out I paid for the insurance through the third party already and these guys went ahead and charged me for insurance through them to. I wondered why it was so much more but they said there was a security deposit that will be refunded when we get back. Now I'm trying to get it worked out and nobody will give me answers or return my calls, and now they won't even answer when I call. They're basically scammers and know exactly how to get away with it so book at your own risk.
