Terrible experience returning the SUV I rented. The man behind the counter was aggressive and extremely rude. He told me the "computer read" that the gas tank was only 75% full upon return. I let him know that it was much more than 75% but likely slightly under 100% full tank. I requested that someone please manually check the fuel since there was a discrepancy. He blatantly refused, told me they only go by what the computer says, and I can pay an extra $60 or leave the airport and get more gas. I did not have enough time to go back to the gas station, and after being talked down to rudely, I started to go to my flight. I realized I had no proof so I went back to the counter and requested to be escorted to the car so I could photograph the fuel gauge for documentation. He said I could go out there and lo and behold, there was an employee out there... checking it manually! I read through every piece of fine print that I was given by the rental company. NOWHERE does it say that if it is less than 100% full, it will be marked as 75% or below. NOWHERE does it say that the computer system will determine the fuel levels. I have already filed an official grievance with the company weeks ago and have not heard back.

I had a bad experience with this rental place. I made a reservation and when I got there to pick up my car they told me they didn't have any more cars available. They didn't seem to care that they left a customer without a car, they said there was nothing they could do about it.

The staff here was absolutely lovely, the issue I have is with the after care service, the rental has cost $204 more than estimated, I was advised an additional driver would be around $13.50 more a day, we only rented the car for 3 days so $204 more than i was told the rental would cost is absurd. I have submitted a query online but have not been answered. There is no option on there phone number to speak to an agent about this. Very suspicious that the extra total charges are the same as the CC hold they place on the rental. This charge in not pending and has been taken. The reason I went with dollar was because the estimated cost was cheaper than other providers. This was very misleading. $355 dollars to rent a mid-size car that was advertised as $138 dollars.

Summary: Rental costs much more than estimate provided and agreed on.

0 stars. Awful experience from the customer service all the way to existing the garage. We had a reservation for 4pm. We were told that someone brought the minivan we reserved back late so we had to wait 1.5 to have it ready. Once it was ready, we were told it was in spot 294. We walk out to the garage and to our surprise they had an expedition waiting for us in 294. We thought, they must be trying to make it right for us. We load up the family of 7 and attempt to leave. The lady working at the exit area of the garage told us that we had the wrong car and that they would bring the minivan. We explained the situation, about the rude customer service member, waiting an hour and a half and given the wrong vehicle. The manager even said that we took the car out of the wrong spot, which thier workers even said the minivan was in a 300 spot not 294. Britney (manger) was extremly rude and not taking any responsibility for the companies mistakes. At the beginning she gave us 2 to options pay $125 more per day for their mistakes or to unpack and get into minivan. No discounts offered when asked. She later said our 3rd option was for her to refuse us services. Stay far far away from this company. They are just there to take your money and offer lousy employees and service.

Paid for a car through them and was to pick it up, per our confirmation, at 8:30pm. We arrived at counter at 8:15pm and we were told they closed at 8. They left me stranded at airport with my daughter. Finally found a car for rent at Alomo and ended up paying another $380 to rent another car. They don't even answer their customer service line. Please do not do business with Dollar! You'll more than likely be stranded too.

We have had our rental paid for 1month in advance. They have told us its going to he 30 minutes and our reservation is 2hrs late. They have no rentals for anyone who has had pre paid for rentals. They told us they would give us the first available even if its an upgrade. There were people going up without reservations paying for rentals and they had cars ready for them. Reguardless they told us they would give the next car to us but diddnt. The guy was nice and calm, but the service was bad.

Would give no stars if I could. Worst experience I’ve ever had. Rental was for 8pm. Arrived at 7:30. Attendant let multiple people he appeared to know cut in front. I had already checked in online and didn’t even make it to the counter until til 8:30. Will never use Dollar ever again.

Beware of the managers special !!! was forced to take a electric car with no charging infrasturcture near sequoia and kings canyon national park. If i didnt upgrade i would of be stranded out in the middle of a national park. This electric option shouldnt be offered for anyone visiting a near by national park! What a rip off !
