I have done this several times & always enjoy it. Family visited from out of state so once again I had to share the fun. They loved it too. Great experience, easy parking is a plus, instructions about Duffy & maps is well done.

We rented a boat for my husbands birthday from
6pm to 8pm. It was a beautiful sunset, the staff was extremely accommodating. In fact, they have 2 locations and we went to the wrong one. They quickly switched some things around for us and made it happen. The boat itself was easy to operate. The best part was we could bring the dogs! I highly recommend!

Everything was great... But don't be more than 5 minutes late returning the boat, even if not your fault. The dockhands will be extremely and surprisingly rude. Even with apologies and a big tip. They were just like- yeah whatever, get off. It put a damper and negative vibes on the whole thing for both me and my party. If not for this, I'd return.. but there are many friendlier Duffy rentals in this harbor.

Love renting the Duffy boat. It's always a great experience. When reserving, consider which type of boat you want, then what time. Are you looking to catch the sunset? Are you looking to go when the sun I not in your face. This time of year is 1130 to 130. Note that you really do have to arrive early. They have parking available but if many people arrive in many cars there may be no parking available. Also you may bring what you want to drink and eat. Remember to bring a bag to place your trash. They have an ice machine to fill your cooler with ice should you bring one. For clothing layering is the best unless you know it's going to be a hot day. Also they have the clear covers for the windows in case it's too windy. And just be ready to have a good time. 😁

I have rented electric boats from multiple vendors in Orange County and Duffy Newport Beach is by far the best. I like that they offer the Duffy boats with the extended area in the back as well, not just the typical enclosed boats. Although the price is slightly higher than other vendors, these boats are by far the cleanest, the staff is organized, they provide ice to fill ice chests if needed, and they even allow small dogs onboard. Parking is limited which they inform you in your confirmation email, but if there is none available in the lot we typically find street parking easily. We will continue to return and give them our business.

Very nice, clean boat for a party of 10. Comfortable seating with ability to zipper the "windows" if windy . Nice size center table. Easy to drive. All staff were very nice and extremely professional. Bathrooms on premises are very nice and clean. Parking was limited but our 3 cars in our party all got a spot. Will definitely return!

there are a number of Duffy rental facilities around Newport Harbor, but this is the only one with the newer boats that are well maintained. Staff is great & location is easy to find by car and water. do yourself a favor and bring some kind of picnic along with you. It makes the cruising around more enjoyable. Also, if you’re not familiar with the Harbor, consider printing out a map before you go so you can track where you’re going and how to get back. It’s a big Harbor! If you are not familiar with boat driving, please try not to cut anybody off while you’re out there, avoid going into the middle of more fields, where you might run over and get stuck on a spreader line and make sure your nav lights are on if you’re out at night!
