I recently visited East Bay Auto Center for an oil change, and I had a great experience! The staff was friendly and professional, and they completed the service quickly without any unnecessary upselling. The pricing was fair, and they even checked my filters and tire pressure as a courtesy.

The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the clear communication about the process. My first experience here was a transmission oil change and the person I spoke with was very friendly and gave a nice discount. I decided to come again to this shop because there were funny noises coming from under the hood whenever I turned on the engine. They diagnosed it, then told me I needed to replace three parts. Over the phone, they said a price of $380 but when I went to pay they said it was $480. I know what I heard. I usually am more careful but decided to just trust them this time around. Big mistake, because not only was I upcharged— I started my car again this morning (the day after) and the noise is still there. Complete waste of money. Total came out to $530

I went here last year and had great service. I decided to go again, so I made an appointment online for 11/29 at 9 am. I even got a reminder text about my appointment yesterday. I drove over and found out that they're closed.
5 stars for the time I went last year, but minus 2 stars for having an online appointment system that allows you to schedule a service even though you're not open.

This is the only place I choose to bring my vehicles. Friendly, honest people with honest prices and a full commitment to get the job done in a very timely manner. I have been coming to this location ever since they switched to the new management. If you have an older vehicle that needs restoration or even a newer vehicle that needs complex work done, this is the place to be. Always have competitive prices compared to anywhere else and the price they charge is always the price agreed upon over the phone. Very hard to find honest mechanics with integrity nowadays especially given today's high labor rates, but the team that works here always go above and beyond to get the job done. If any problems do arise even after installation, they stand behind their work and honor their warranty. I am not being paid or sponsored to write this review I'm doing it out of love for the team that works here. 5 stars!
