Very nice setting with a view of the lake. The food is not exceptional and overpriced for what it is, especially since you place your order at the counter, pick it up yourself, and clear your own table. People clearly go there for the view and the location (quieter than Tahoe in peak season). Service is decent. It's the only restaurant in the area.

Very convenient small store that has all you need: chicken nuggets, hot dogs, fruit, cafes, ice cream, yogurt. Price is reasonable.

The view outside is amazing. You get the panoramic view of Fallen Leaf Lake from here.

Free wifi. Very nice service persons.

Fallen Leaf Lake Store is a great place to enjoy your coffee and food while watching an amazing scenic view. Their coffee and food is not the best, however the scenic view and atmosphere makes it delicious. Staff were friendly.

Fallen Leaf Lake is a diamond waiting to be found. My family member has been visiting this location for 15 years and recommend we kayak here instead of Lake Tahoe as this smaller lake is less crowded and smooth as ice in the morning. The drive down from our Airbnb was gorgeous! They have a cafe with ice cream, fountain drinks and snacks. The lake is perfect for hiking, paddle boarding, water skiing, swimming. Dogs are allowed to swim as well. The price for a 2 person kayak for 1 hour is $35. The scenery was amazing from the lake. We saw beautiful homes on the lake side and trails I wouldn’t be able to see as I’m not a hiker. The waterfalls were not flowing this time of year so I will be returning.

Handicap parking is close to the store. There is no parking close to the lake.

Rent ebikes.
Make the long windy cool scenic bike ride along the shore line to get to this super cute little marina and shop with a tiny sand beach area. Surprisingly really good chicken strips and tots. Plenty of food and beverages and market items and tourist shwag.
Super private lake. Super rad.
So worth the ride! Absolutely beautiful.

While visiting Lake Tahoe, we went to Fallen Leaf Lake. Fallen Leaf Lake is a mountain lake located at 6377 ft above sea level. The road towards the lake is just one way road and not developed enough.

We stopped at the Fallen Leaf Lake Store. There is a parking lot in front of the store and there is marina. We were amazed to see the blue lake surrounded by the mountains atop with snow.

If you’re a water person, rent a paddleboat, kayak, or a stand-up paddleboard and get out on the water! You can also go for fishing here. There are some hiking trails that you can explore. During winter the road are closed.

Busy end of a trail next to Lake Tahoe. Be sure you know how to drive a bumpy curly road. It is kept that way for a reason... But the view and the atmosphere is heavenly. Food is nothing special and expensive which you should expect at such an outpost. I think idyllic is the word.
