Maintenance service is TOP NOTCH! All the guys that work here and extremely helpful and will explain things so that you understand. The prices are outstanding, especially on maintenance. They go above and beyond to help create community through events like the Friday maintenance clinics. I would recommend First Mile to anyone looking for anything bike related!

Amazing place and recommend to everyone. I bought my first gravel bike and love it. The mechanics are SMEs and super knowledgeable and friendly. The team do free maintenence clinics every other Friday thru to spring. It has developed a great community place for kids to drop in and experience the joys of biking. FiRST MILE ROCKS! Carey and his team are the best! Matt is my “go to” tech for sage advice and maintenance that I’d rather an expert tackle, and Carey is always fun and full of enthusiasm for our sport. I recently had Matt do a mech upgrade on my gravel bike - great service and follow-up. So good to have these guys serving Lamorinda.

DON'T USE THEIR REPAIR SERVICES.

Poor repair work and dishonesty. The next day, after picking up my bike, I discovered the tire new tire they installed was flat. During an email exchange, they promised, "If it turns out that anything we did or installed was defective, there will be no charge for the repair." I returned the bike so they could fix it a second time.

I took off work and Uber-ed to the shop to meet their time demand. After arguing, they insisted on charging me for the replacement part.

Took toddler’s bike in to get air and raise the seat 10 mins before they closed. Super knowledgeable and kind shop owners. Will be returning when they start carrying children’s woom bikes in a few months.

First Mile gives excellent friendly service. The guys at the shop are always welcoming and knowledgeable. Additionally, my son did a Bay Area mountain biking camp with Carey. He had a blast, worked on his skills, and became a stronger rider during the week. Cannot recommend First Mile enough!

My first service experience at First Mile after my old shop closed. It was as expected, and that is a good thing. They are not cheap, but they do good work, stand by their work, and they do a tremendous amount of good in the cycling community. I'm glad to have them in our neighborhood. As a follow up, I've been back to First Mile a couple more times since my initial review for service. My five start rating and appreciation to have them around still very much stand.
