Despite the negative reviews, I had a very positive experience, especially given the price point. I flew in at 8am and flew out at 9pm, there was no line and was helped immediately. I got the car I booked and was able to choose from the lot.

They will try to sell you insurance, prepaid fuel, and prepaid tolls; these are all things you can decline. I had a prepaid reservation booked through my credit card travel portal. No issues.

The only downside is the frequency of the shuttle. I waited 15 minutes for the shuttle in the morning. Waited 15 minutes for the shuttle when I returned my car. It took 30 minutes to drive to 6 (Alaska) because traffic was so bad. Bank for extra time, or get off sooner and walk; walking is faster than the traffic.

Despite all the bad reviews … for $12 per day and a free shuttle from the airport (you have to wait for the specific Fox shuttle from the airport because if you take one that looks like it has a lot of different car rental places it’s not that because you’ll have to go back to the airport and it might be a 45 min wait for the bus) and the cars are clean and have no issues, it’s a great deal. At a certain time at night when you drop off the car, I don’t think there’s a shuttle because I asked and they said they don’t have one so I took an Uber to the airport about 1 mile from Fox. The Uber took 25 minutes for the 1 mile and it cost $21.50 … there is so much traffic going to the airport for 1 mile so you’re better off walking or taking a bicycle if you don’t have much and there are sidewalks. But Other than not having a free shuttle after drop off at night time around 9:45pm, this is a very good value rental for your money. I would rent from them again. The Staff were very nice and friendly. And my car was very clean and did not have any residue of cigarette smoke.

Cheaper prices come with cheaper everything else apparently. After waiting in line for over an hour I walk back to get the car…to another line! There were so many people and no cars to give them. They said it would be over an hour until we get a car and to just sit and wait. I can’t figure out what is going on, if they just don’t have the cars or what

EDIT: They responded to my review and asked me to contact them via their contact page. I submitted this but haven’t heard back so I’ll update if I do. The car return process was quicker and they had a shuttle available when we first got there so that bumped my experience up to 2 stars. But I can see why it takes them forever to get cars ready. They had me pull into a tiny space jam packed with cars and had three people packed in behind me before I left. I don’t see how they can even get anything moved to start cleaning cars and get them ready for the next day!

Edit: they replied to this and asked me to contact them on their website, and they never replied back to that so their customer service is also lacking.

Had a great experience back in December at Fox San Diego so decided to rent a car here at LAX for my Wedding week and had another great experience with Fox! I prepaid my reservation along with the security deposit for a standard suv along with damage waiver and insurance. Only waited in line for 5 minutes then was helped by Esmeralda. It's a business so they will try to upsell things but you can respectfully decline (Every rental place does this). She was great at explaining everything and was polite, 10/10 service. We then entered the garage to be helped by Ronda and Luis. Let me just say both were amazing and kept the line moving smoothly. Ronda was in such a great mood, always laughing and smiling. She asked what brought us here and we mentioned our wedding and she was super excited for us. We were given a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder (8 seater). Esmeralda, Luis, and Ronda are great examples of what customer service should be like and are the reasons why customers like me will always come back!

Very happy with the customer service and quality of the car. I was a late arrival and shuttle still picked me up. Return was easy and shuttle to airport was not delayed. 10/10

This business is underrated. I've had a great experience here. They let me choose my own car in the lot from the category I booked. I should complement the fast check in by ms Feven (I believe that's her name). All the staff are very nice, very short queue, great car choices, cheaper compare to other rentals, 100 stars for Fox LAX.

Staff were friendly but such a long wait to be seen. We had some issues with our credit card which the staff were helpful with. Rented a lovely red jeep ! Shuttle from the airport was great driver was lovely but on the way back to LAX driver was rude to all passengers !

Edit: ended up being a 90 minute wait in the first line just to be told my reserved vehicle was not available despite me arriving on time. just wanted to add this video of the shuttle driver who was texting during the whole trip. This place has no interest in a providing a decent service. I would be embarrassed to work here
