Recently acquired two VW buggys and had Ross and Derrick completely go thru the vehicles. They're meticulous and their work is superb. I highly recommend them to anyone with an older VW. They're awesome!!!

So - I buy a 74 VW Thing from a place in St Louis, MO and ship it to Palm Springs, CA sight unseen. I chose it based on the overall condition of the body, maintenance history and appearance, but expected to have to have the engine and other stuff overhauled.
A friend recommended French’s and I connected with Derek, who did a comprehensive diagnostic and ultimately advised me to let him do a full engine overhaul. I did and I am so glad.
French’s is a no-frills, old-school shop, but you can feel the passion they have for old VW’s and that there is nothing they haven’t seen before or don’t know how to fix. I was in frequent contact with Derek, who told me much more than I could understand about the issues and what he wanted to do. I completely trusted him from the get-go. For me the most important thing for an old but fun car is reliability - if you are scared to drive it for fear it will break down it completely defeats the purpose. I now have that reliability with what is effectively a brand new engine.
Old car renovations are not cheap, but finding a reliable & honest place is the key and I feel good about what I got for my money.
I’m sure i’ll need their help again and suspect i’ll be a regular customer.

Hi I recently bought a sandrail.
Having a Volkswagen in the past I knew a little about but enough. This thing little different. Very knowledgeable Car/Volkswagen staff 🤔 🏆 See Ross he will help you with anything you might need or need to know about these vehicles.
He recommended a very nice pair of KYB Front shocks for my rail.

Best air cooled VW shop within a hundred miles!!! The guys know their stuff. Derek is a great Mechanic on VW's and motorcycles. Ross the owner is a great guy, I've known him for more than 10 years and he's awesome!!! If you need Air Cooled VW or motorcycle repairs..... this is the place!!!!

I' very been taking my VW stuff to Ross for over 25 years. He's always fair and does a great job... He has expanded out lately with motorcycle,quads, etc service. So, now I'm taking all my atv's
