It’s very rare that people have a wonderful experience and an automotive repair shop, but that’s exactly what I had. Not only was the staff, friendly and extremely courteous, but they provided me with a report on my classic Mercedes-Benz that walked me through each and every aspect of the service. Furthermore, they prioritized issues that needed to be addressed immediately, and other items that could wait. This is exactly what I’m looking for in a shop and I couldn’t recommend them more. Additionally, the work that they did do on the vehicle was top-notch. By far the best experience at any shop I’ve had to date .

Solid and passionate are the operatives that comes to mind when I think of German Auto Sport. This establishment genuinely cares about ensuring their customers receive competent, timely service. Kevin is personable, exemplary at customer service and goes above and beyond the call of duty on this front. It helps them a great deal if an auto owner is COMPLETELY transparent with feedback and details, enabling timely repair solutions, even if one ’screws up’ like I did with my 2005 Audi. Stuff eventually fails—this is just the nature of mechanical devices. This shop is my mos-def go-to shop for peace of mind.

Read the response from the owner below, and proceed with caution and consider whether you want to do business with this kind of shop. I stand by my review, have texts of the entire exchange, and have no idea what he's talking about. To my knowledge, he only threatened to call the police as I never got a call, and it seemed as if there was an attempt at intimidating me. The whole experience was deeply unsettling to me. I did speak with the police and file a complaint as his all text caps were harassing and he insisted he had more right to my vehicle than I did.

The shop had no authorization to drive my vehicle, and this is against California law. He claims here to have driven my car 14 miles, but he didn't know I had the valet on or that I knew the state of charge before he drove it. Note that he says he drove it while it was also unsafe to drive. I have no words. Make up your own mind. Under California law, if you lose confidence and trust with a shop you are under no obligation to be bullied into completing work they didn't start. I offered to pay him for services rendered, but only under the condition that he would not touch my car further. He declined and said again he would call the police on me, a customer. I wish this weren't a real story, and I truly hope anyone that chooses this shop has a better experience than I did.

Like other customers, I also wish I could give zero stars. I wish I had read the negative reviews more closely before I decided to go to this shop. If you have a good experience, good for you. I had to get my insurance involved and tow my car to my dealer after they damaged my vehicle after attempting a very simple wire repair. I was lied to and treated with disrespect by multiple staff and the owner, and the shop drove my car without my permission -- and then taunted me after I called them on it. They threatened to call the police on me on multiple occasions. I told them I lost trust, and no longer wanted them touching my car to finish the repair. FYI, they do not have the legal right to insist on finishing a repair. I suggest following up with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair if you have a bad experience, and pursue mediation and remediation.

This is a solid spot for BMW-adjacent makes like my Mini that's out of warranty. Dealership level service but not the price. Oil change was very reasonable, and the free inspection was thorough with photos and detailed descriptions provided by the service writer. Definitely recommended!

I came in to have my BMW M4 serviced. The staff here made me feel welcomed the second I walked through the door. They were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, & professional. They communicated very well to me while my car was being repaired. They even offered me a courtesy Uber ride home & a ride back to the shop. One of them even came out to help guide me while I backed my car out onto the street when I left. I think I found my people. Go get some G.A.S!

I have a 2012 Mini Cooper S that German Auto Sport recently serviced and it was a wonderful experience! I had been to two other places before that were not able to diagnose my engine errors, and the knowledge that German Auto Sport had for Minis made a big difference. They were helpful and thoughtful throughout the process, keeping me in the loop and answering my questions.
