Sharing our experience in hopes that no one else goes through the same horrible experience.
Previous mechanics are gone, the only mechanic working on cars is a man named John. He was dishonest with us. If you value your time and hard earned money my advice is look elsewhere (by the way he does not wear a covid mask so be aware if you are a senior citizen or have underlying health issues.

*. It took an entire day to get a diagnostic on our vehicle dropped off at around 10 am didn't get a diagnostic until about 6pm. He had our car for almost 1 week.

* Conducts himself in an unprofessional manner but he charges for professional services. His honesty, and quality of work is very poor.

*Charged us for 2 new fuel oxygen sensors and per our 2nd mechanic we had to hire he found only 1 new sensor. He charged us $ 130.00 each. Plus the labor

* Returned our vehicle and said it was ready for pick up, but when we drove it back home and parked it leaked again!! (see pictures)

*Had to go back so he can rectify the problem, at the end of the day he called and said it's ready for pick up and again when we got home the car made a strange gurgle sound, (he neglected to bleed the water coolant causing that terrible sound. Furthermore the hose that he installed was not pushed all the way inside and had no clamp per our new mechanic the hose was left loose / no clamp/ and had a leak (see pictures)

*Had to hire a 2nd mechanic to fix his poor work!!

* He agreed to refund us on deposit we left for a airbag issue we planned on him working on but changed our minds after the above experiences, the refund did not happen on the day he agreed he did not bother to reschedule appointment, he decided to take the day off and not notify us.

*We ended up spending over $1000.00 in parts, poor and dishonest labor.

Because of bad and slow work we spent an extra $300.00 in a car rental wasted precious time and hard earned money. Very stressful , frustrating and naturally upsetting!!!

I would never recommend my family or friends. Hope you find this helpful. Do your due diligence. Don't get burnt. Don't get ripped off. Good Luck and stay safe!!

I purchased a full synthetic oil change with new filter for this business through Groupon. I telephoned them and made a reservation for the following afternoon, then arrived at precisely the right time the next day. The mechanic on duty promptly paused his work on another vehicle and attended to my oil change, finishing in less than 30 min. He providing me with a printed out document for the work he had done. The entire procedure was polite and efficient.

I have been using Grand Automotive for all of my vehicles for many years. John does excellent work for very reasonable prices. But more importantly he is extremely honest and does not try to up sale you or try to get you to buy something more than what you need. If you’re tired of being taken advantage of by unscrupulous automobile, repair, garages than Grand Automotive is where you should be taking your car.

This is the best auto repair experience I have ever had. George was amazing. he saved me a ton of money, was really upfront and honest, and did the work incredibly quickly. Overall, they have earned my business for as long as I can get a vehicle to them! Amazing!

Update: if there was a higher rating than 5 stars, George would get it. I’ve since needed car work twice since the original review and he just keeps being awesome. Seriously, such an honest and straightforward person. If you need car work, this is the place.

Date of service (11-28-2022). Owner George is extremely misleading and untrustworthy when it came to diagnosing my car. George claimed the diagnostics will be completely “free” of charge prior to diagnosing the car. George gave completely false and repairs that were not needed at all. He claimed my heater hoses needed to get replaced because there was a “leak” after i told him the coolant was running out quick. He also told me i needed my shift solenoid to get replaced. Repairs quote came out to be about $1500 but I declined and that clearly made him upset. That’s when he charged me $135 for “labor” charges and for working on the car for the “whole day”. Mind you, he never repaired anything in the car because i declined all the repairs. Even thought he’s a “mechanic” and claims to work on the car the whole day, he could not figure out the real issue i had with my car. Upon further verification with another mechanic, there were no heater hose leaks neither a shift solenoid problem. The transmission has some leaks and was low on fluid which caused the transmission to have issues, but that’s something he could not figure out himself and instead gave me completely false diagnostics. Upon picking up the car from his shop, he held the $135 against me and told me to leave either my wallet or my phone as a liability to me leaving the shop and coming back with the cash. I wouldn’t trust this guy with any repairs and not even an oil change. He tried taking advantage of me since i am a younger individual. Proof of receipt has been attached to proof that he did charge me a $135. Best of luck to everyone who wants to get their car repaired with this untrustworthy mechanic.

Owner went above and beyond! Took my jeep in for a repair. He kept me updated with pictures via text and made the whole experience so easy. Turnaround was unbelievable. Got the jeep back to me in less than 24 hours. Super happy with the quality of the repair. I highly recommend.
