What a sad place,

The last 3 times I had my Lance Cali Classic serviced at HB-scooters, every time I picked it up and drove off, it had an issue.
The owner of HB Scooters denied every time that they were related even though some were proven to be related and others too unlikely that they must have been caused by the repairs.
This all coincided with the son of the owner replacing the main mechanic. Let’s just say that family bias makes blind and my questioning the quality of repairs and high-lighting off the fact that every time I got my bike back, something else was immediately a problem, was met with unfriendly behavior to say the least.
Last time of service the owner became outright aggressive and I left as usual feeling yipped but had to pay-up.
Recently I came back there one last time with a question, since I bought my scooter there, I was told NOT to come at HB – scooters anymore due to my behavior.
Apparently it is not done questioning the service provided with this authoritarian person, especially if performed by his less than mechanically inclined son.
My advice, go somewhere else if you want normal and continues service and have good repairs and not met with aggression.

This was my first time purchasing a scooter and it's been something I've wanted to do for a few years now.
I couldn't have chosen a better shop. First I was emailing with the owner to get additional information and make sure I was prepared wiht everything I needed before making the 40 minute drive.
I went in with an idea of what I wanted but once there the owner's wife (I feel terrible for not remembering her name) had me try a few other scooters and really made sure I was comfortable with what I would be riding.
Not only did I not feel pressured to buy anything but when I did, I received so many helpful tips.
As I was driving my new scooter around my block I kept remembering the tips both Dave and his wife gave me.
I'm so happy with my purchase and the customer service.

Wonderful family owned business! They helped me pick out the perfect scooter for my commute to work and a little time off fun. Across the board their prices were very fair, especially when you consider the quality of service. My only challenge was I had to wait for the color I wanted to special order in which was no fault of the dealer. There was no stock anywhere in socal. As soon as it arrived they inspected it ad called me up to arrange delivery to my home no extra charge! I will definitely be doing all of my service here. Thanks HB Scooter!

Bought a bike about a year ago and while the sellers seemed nice when purchasing they also didn't tell me that since the bike is Taiwanese (SYM/Lance Havana Classic) , that finding any service stations are extremely difficult.

That leaves ONLY THEM which is 45 mins away and if it's not ridable it would require $120 from my place to theirs using the transport company they contract with OR places that will work on it which are near impossible to find due to it being Taiwanese!

I just feel they absolutely should have warned about this along with the brand not having any parts to really find in case of needed replacement.

On top of that I had to call about a issue I thought at the time I was having (newbie here) and if it was covered under warranty, I think I got the son on the line who beratted me for not riding it and telling me how stupid and irresponsible I was, he doesn't know my life and why I hadn't been able to ride it at that time, I found him extremely rude and that is what caused me to not even trust them any more.

All of this has me NOT recommending HB scooters!

I have nothing but good things to say about these people. They are very trustworthy. The scooter I bought is very reliable.

The couple that runs this place are just good wholesome caring people who will work with you if you have problems( bad credit, low budget, etc.)

The Husband, David, is very competent. He recommended I go with a 125cc instead of a 50cc. It was only $100 extra but it was the best choice I ever made. I had never even been on a scooter in my life and he has given me tips that I can honestly say have saved my life.

I would give 100 stars if I could.

had damaged scooter towed to HB for Ins. Co. damage estimate. Passive-aggressive owner said there would be a 48 hr pickup period after which a 48$ per day 'storage charge' would be applied.
Ins. Co asked to have report CC'ed to them. Owner told me, THEY had to contact HIM. (i still hadn't received the estimate/report myself). Back and forth it went, the clock ticking, still no word. I sent an email asking both sides to get in touch with each other. Apparently HB "Dave" DID finally contact the Ins. Co. but he didn't have the sense/intelligence/courtesy to CC me. I finally received the damage estimate, that I paid for, AFTER the Ins. Co. did (?).
Ins. Co also said I could keep the lightly damaged windscreen from the totaled scooter after I asked. Owner was apprised of my desire to keep it but ended up giving it to the wrecker out of spite. Who would do business with a d*ck like that? I wouldn't
