Did not meet standard Hertz experience expectations. I am a Gold member which means at most locations I skip the line and paperwork and go right to my car. Gold service is not offered here so I expected a bit of a wait. Paperwork was completely different from other locations. They wanted my insurance, hotel, multiple contacts, and a $300 deposit. They also inspected the car for any nicks before and after my rental with practically a magnifying glass.

All that was acceptable though. A hassle but whatever.

The real issue is my final bill was wrong with unknown added charges. I called hertz and they told me the location added these fees and I needed to call them. I can not get through on the phone number hertz corporate provided to validate if this is true or how to resolve this issue.

This Hertz location has gone to the dogs like most car rentals. There latest twist on scams is a twist on the gas. Although I had turned down all the add ones the attendant signed me up for their gas program. Being I had already stood in line an hour to get my reserved car, after flying all day and it was late I did not catch this until later. His angle is that they will fill it up 30 cents cheaper than any of the gas stations in town. The deal however is they charge you for a full tank of gas, so any gas you have in the tank they get for free. That sorta kill's the so called 30 cent savings. In my case the tank was almost full thinking they would only charge me for the gas needed to top off the tank. WRONG

Terrible terrible! I had a reservation and I called customer service to inform that I would be late as my plane was super delayed which was out of my control. I was told my Angelique and by Max the manager that I did not have to worry that my reservation would be saved and that the facility closes at 1:30am so I will be able to get my car. I arrived and the attendant took all my info and even asked me if I wanted a 4x4 vehicle then she said she needed to speak to her manager. When she came back she told me that they were not honoring my reservation as I was late even after I explained that I called. She recommended that I check the other rental companies. I also attempted to call the local office several times and no one answered. Terrible

I rented a car for about 12 hours since the plane didn't have until 11:30pm. When I tried to fill up the tank to bring it back, the fuel door wouldn't open. I finally drove back to the airport to figure out what was wrong and after looking it over, the attendant said "oh, looks like this needs two people to open- one to pull the latch and the other to put pressure on the fuel door", as if that was a normal thing one does.

The attendant said he'd "make a note" for when I brought the car back. I had to drive with the fuel door unlatched back to a gas station, fill it up, and go back to the airport.

For my trouble, no compensation was offered (I was only missing a quarter tank so offering to take it as-is would have been sensible) and the issue was treated as if it was my problem that I couldn't figure out how to open the fuel door using 4 hands.

Considering the car cost $243 for 12 hours, I was extremely unimpressed.

WARNING Avoid if possible!! Very poor customer service! I rented for a week and was given a vehicle that no one looked at before being given to me, a persons notebook of items where in there (birth certificate, job paper work etc.) the car had Warning lights on and I took it back to get a different vehicle. Where customer service was RUDE they double charged the original $25 return fee BECAUSE OF THEIR MISTAKE!!!! Don’t USE them!

This Hertz location is an injustice to the brand. For a fee of $13/day (2x in my case) to have a child seat in the vehicle, I have a reasonable expectation that the correct seats will be ready with the vehicle, set up correctly, and clean.

I had 1 seat when i showed up, then they fished out a second. We had to remove the seats then redo the straps at our destination to allow our kids to sit comfortably because of whatever they did to them. One of the seats they first handed me was somehow completely reversed - I didn't even know that was possible!

Additionally, the sub-par cleaning was evident when I found a pack of cigarettes on the floor of the van.

I'm usually loyal to the brands I use when I travel, but I would second guess renting from here if you have other options.

It's rare that I give a 1 star in a review, but this place deserves even less than that one star.. This place must not really care for their image since they have terrible reviews and still continue to give bad service.. I'm just hoping that this review will help somene make a smarter decision that I did and go with another rental company.. I booked a full size sedan since it would be 4 travelers each with luggage.. When I get to the counter, the guy at the counter says they "ran out" of full size sedans (like a Chevy Malibu), something I had a reservation for already.. He said he would upgrade me to a SUV and I imagined it would be something like a Rogue or better.. When I got the car, it was a basically a hatchback, our luggage didn't fit and we had to take some luggage in the front.. I asked the attendant if we could get a slightly bigger car since we barely fit and she said she could but there would be an upcharge.. So basically, we got downgraded, paid the regular price for what was agreed upon at the beginning, and they decided they would upcharge us for getting a car that was slightly bigger, even if thats what I paid for in the first place.. Now don't get me wrong, I've used Hertz many times out of different airports and they have great service, but this Hertz location specifically is not the one to do business with.. Also, about the full size sedan, my brother-in-law picked us up from the airport in a Camry (a midsize sedan) and ALL of our luggage fit in the back, with space to spare

Just horrible. Counter is shared with Dollar and Thrifty. 1 guy working the counter with 5 in line. Took over 30 minutes just waiting and we had a reservation. No lines at the other rental agencies so they would be a better choice. Otherwise send others in your party to get the luggage while you stand in line
